"TAKING IT TO THE PIE" |
As you know, there are a quite a few songs that were left behind on Extreme. I was wondering if it would be possible to have the AA requirement on the score tracker be dependent on what mix you entered your score in. I have about 6 AA's that are above the 93% which is an Extreme AA, but they display as only A's, but these songs do not appear post-Extreme, so having them forced to meet the Supernova AA of 95% seems counter intuitive. So... could we get a feature that sets the AA grade to the mix it was entered on? So a FC would be an AA for 5th mix, a full perfect combo for 4th would be an AA, 93% for Extreme, etc.

No, as there'll be so many grade inconsistencies when you view ranking. It's best to have one set grade system.

I agree. One grade is more simple and clear.Btw AA requirements before SuperNOVA are weird. If you want to have a AA (supernova) on an older arcade, try to make some simple math. You have to do 10% greats (FC) or less when you play, or making mistakes with less greats if you want a real AA.
For exemple, Captain Jack (on ddr extreme) i got 324 perfects and 36 greats. (324+36 = 360 ; 360/10=36) I got 95.00%, which is a AA. It's a simple way to know if you have a AA or not on old machine (with freeze it's just a little bit more complicated).

Well I know how the AA requirements work in other mixes. 8th mix atleast gave dance points. 2 for a perfect, 1 for a great, 0 for a good, and it took away a few dp for boos and misses. OK's gave like 4 DP. That's why one boo on Extreme is more detrimental to your AA chances than in Supernova/2 but then, SN's AA requirement's is 95% so I think it's offset a bit. It's just harder to get an AA if you FC a song in Supernova than in Extreme. I'm just going to go back and get higher AA's on those 6 songs so they show up as AA's in my tracker

It'd be interesting to have a "popup" frame on the song which - when you hover over it - displays what it would have been in all the major mixes that changed the grading system

That would be interesting. Shame SN2 had to make it so it changes depending on which difficulty you did it on.
