Next DDR Game: DDR X2 or some other name?

Do you think the next DDR game will be X2 or a whole new game? What do you think the game will be like?

For NA, I really think they're going to release a greatest hits collection or something like that. It'll have maybe 80 songs or so, including songs we've never recieved and the name will be something like "Dance Dance Revolution: Forever" or "Dance Dnace Revolution: Greatest Hits" I don't think it will feature alot of new songs, but a few like what they did with Party Collection. Maybe they'll bring back backgrounds or stages?

What do you think the next DDR game will be called and how do you think it will be?

Well given the fact that DDR X started the new "generation" of DDR, i can agree (somewhat) with Neo here that there might be a DDR X-2...

...however i feel that Konami should release a "greatest hits" game with all of the most "recent" Konami Original Songs and some new ones as well...

...so i am also going for "DDR: Greatest Hits" and "DDR Konamix 2".

It really wouldn't fit because XX in roman numerals = 20 so basically DDR X*dash*2 would fit better for the next game (if it IS going to be like that).

...another ten years and yea i would agree with the "DDR Double X" name

P.S. i would LOL so hard if in 20 years or so, they call the DDR game for that year DDR XXX XD!! But it might be something like DDR X(3) or X squared.

I still feel mad that we didn't get a party collection like japan got, but I'm sure if they made one more PS2 version of DDR it'll be like Party Collection, having tons of songs that the region didn't get, and hopefully they bring back the old online way, the DDR X online was crap, I don't even know if anyone even went on it. I like it where you can join in a game, and play people who are to lazy to use there feet, and cheat. lol.

Play more DDR Extreme 2. If that isn't a Best Hits/Party Collection type of game to you then I really don't know what is.

Not to be rude or anything to the other consoles, but i think they should stop making them (I HAVE NO OBJECTION TO THE GAMES, they are really great games with great songs) Here is my reason:

SO far, the PS2 has been the only console to house the "official" DDR ports from CS to AC, but ever since the gamecube and xbox versions came out, some people didn't know which one was "official"

Now i may just say this because i am tired and need some rest, but i just think that if they continue with the games, people might confuse the games with one another (plus adding onto more versions of DDR to get, hint hint DDR HP + HP2 somehow made it into DDR X AC)

I say, sooner or later just make a multi-platform DDR for ALL consoles (PS3, Wii, 360) and the such...

...but you know what, i will say that this is unlikely to happen (popularity of the songs within the games, plus the unique modes it includes) so i pretty much defeated my own statement...

To be honest, I can't see the next game being a X-2/XX or any of the sort, seeing how the title of this game celebrates the 10 years of Dance Dance Revolution, an X-2 might sort of defeat the point, but you never know.I also can't really see it as being a greatest hits. Quite a few people believed X would be a hits compilation at first, but at this point I think Konami's just interested in releasing new material rather than packaging old material, though I would love a greatest hits.

To be honest, I'd be kind of upset if Dance Dance Revolution moved on to the PlayStation 3, seeing as how many DDR fans there are that don't own one, though a game for both PS2 and PS3 would be pretty nice. Also, I don't want to waste like, 700 bucks on a new video game.

They should wait until the DDR crowd moves to PS3 and release its huge console launch then. That way, it'll be long enough that they're not constantly forcing new games on us. Seriously, we got our home version of X about eight months before the arcade version. Konami ought to realize annually is too often.
