"TAKING IT TO THE PIE" |
Ok, I didn't believe it at first either, but it seems there's an operator's option to actually turn off certain songs in Supernova 2. I'm not sure how, but I saw "I'll Make Love To You" was not available in our Supernova 2 machine and it's definitely in the play list. No, I was not playing Beginner. Did anyone else know this was possible?

Yes, it is known that operators can turn off access to certain songs on SN2 machines.

So, basically we can ask operators to hide certain songs or unlocked again that songs ?
Is it possible to hide Afronova too ?

I'll Make Love To You is SuperNOVA; so, if indeed that is what happened to Daiz, then he has proven you wrong.Post #6 · Posted at 2009-01-04 01:57:13pm 16.4 years ago

I've seen it before and i did see a few songs that had the option to be turned on/off...
...if i remember correctly, one of them was the Brilliant2U GRS song, the other was the Dynamite Rave GRS song...and that's all i can remember.

Something similar has happened in previous mixes.
I remember one arcade hidding the songs "Little Bitch" and "Blow my Whistle" because if little Timmy sees those naughty words he may become tainted

I actually told the arcade attendant today that he needs to unlock the songs on our machines (My Summer Love and 2 others were off) or I wasn't coming back. So he went in and I saw the menu. It basically lists every song in groups of 20. It has an ON/OFF switch. You move to it, hit the button and wallah. It won't unlock songs before entering the unlock codes. I'll Make Love to you is now back on our machine

You cant remove those songs from previous mixes, i should know having owned them both. The most they can do is hack the name so it displays something else *points to DDR Clean mix*

"Killing multi-colored snails!" |
Any song can be hidden or removed from an official cabinet. Once the location purchases it, it's legally their property. They have access to whatever they want, and as long as they don't add anything or demand additional benefits from making its use public they have the final word. The location at SVGL (which is a 15 minute bike from my house so I never drive there) always has the latest songs in my area, but NOTHING beats Arcade Infinity.

I can guarantee you that previously before supernova 1 came along, it was physically impossible to remove songs from the songwheel via the operator menu. I of all people should know this as i know the operator menu inside out from my cab.
Although it does seem a bit silly such a feature never existed until now when its least needed lol

Hrms...
Well, I really only became extremely active in DDR AC when SN1 came out so that would explain it. Come to think of it though, there's a machine in Santa Cruz, on one of the docks, that has True... original but not True... [Trance Sunrise Mix]. I'm quite sure because the Trance mix is my signature doubles song. It's only 8th mix too.
