Hey guys,
I've been following this site since 2nd style, checking in now and then hoping for some sort of home tracking system for DDR. You see, where I live there are absolutely zero arcade machines around. The closest one is an hour drive, something not worth it. However, I do have every song playable from DDR via StepMania, and I play them often with my Cobalt Flux. So as you can see I'm really a big fan of DDR, despite not being able to play in an arcade.
This is why I'm asking for DDR home/console scores to be deemed acceptable. The way to do this is simple. Why not include a feature that lets one "restrict" their score from the rankings? It would be similar to being a private score, made viewable only by those who actually click on one's profile/are linked to it by someone/someone clicks the stat-tracking signature link (which would still work, I hope). The scores would not show up in any sort of leaderboard at all. I know little of the coding on this site so I really do not now if this is possible, but I'd love to have it as a feature. I would use it very often... can any admins help make this happen? Thanks!

Not at the current moment as Al is out on vacation.
You're forgetting one thing though. People play with a controller so it'll be very hard to prove that you did on pad. Some one else proposed this idea some time ago, and I believe it was Al that said it would be hard to tell if the person did it on pad or controller.
Yeah, the person would only be lying to themselves if they post fake scores or scores achieved through the controller, but they'll also be lying to the community and no one will be able to tell the difference.

actually i was the one who asked about this
it could work. either way people still could enter scores played with a controller in the AC score tracker. and there are people who have entered CS scores in it too anyway

You can input CS scores in the AC score tracker?! My gosh, it should be mandatory to provide picture proof!
And no need to feel embarrassed.

All the scores I've put into the AC tracker have been from home.

I need official permission before I enter CS scores in the tracker... I'm too nervous about getting into trouble. Anyway, I know that people can use the controller. That's why I'm saying all CS scores can be disqualified automatically from any sort of ranking. It's more of a statistical record for those interested in posting it online... not for ranking themselves within the community. Hope that makes sense...
I'll wait until he's back from vacation.
I don't really want to bump my post because it's only a few down, but I'm still looking for an admin response on this.

Even though i do live 10 minutes away from my local Gameworks, i mainly use the CS versions all the time...
...and i don't use the controller, only my dance mat (if you have seen my videos on Myspace, i don't use a controller)
