I think it's time we got a DDR: Catchup Mix

Well obviously I wouldn't actually call it that, it would be a horrible name but you get my point!

I just think that once and for all, Konami just releases a DDR game in the spring (not to interfeer with the main ddr releases in the fall) that just includes ALOT of the songs we haven't gotten from Japan and some of the Xbox songs.

Heck, if there's still some room left after you put all that, throw in some licenses we never got (don't say that they can't use Dancemania because Dub-I-Dub X edit came from Dancemania)

AND even if there's still room, but in some classic DDR songs, and you got yourself a great mix.

Now I realise alot of you import DDR so this mix wouldn't be of any importance to you. Well you're right, it's not. But the truth is most people that buy DDR don't import, so I'm speaking to the majority here.

What would you think about this idea? Maybe they could call it Dance Dance Revolution: Party mix (lol, generic title)

DDR X had songs from Supernova, Ultramixes, Extreme, and anything before Max 2. Let's not forget how they included EVERY SN2 song and all the X songs that will be on the Japanese release!

I guess it would be nice if we could get some other DDR filler game that includes songs that we have yet to have on a game. I can't think of what it could be called, though.

Hmm...maybe it could be called "DanceDanceRevolution ESSENCE" or "DanceDanceRevolution ESSENTIALS". Something like that.

I'd probably buy that. I really want a home release with Justify My Love on it.

You know, that could actually work. Konami did that with the Metal Gear Solid games (Metal Gear Solid: Essential collection)

You DO realize that the MGS Essential Collection is the first three MGS games in a set, with MGS1 being rereleased on two PSone discs. Which I find stupid because many people probably got rid of their PSone and its accessories, but when they play MGS1, they can't save because PSone saves don't work on PS2 memory cards (they only work for backup purposes).

Anyway, for a catchup mix, I'd like Across the nightmare, Destiny lovers, Dance Dance Revolution, and some of the licenses pre-EXTREME.

If they give it the ESSENTIALS sub-title, then expect for it to be a mis advertisement. If you've owned, played, or kept track of the Metal Gear series, you would know that they half-assed the essentials collection for MGS.

and use the same characters from X but with some character getting new clothes(Bonnie and zero) and 3 or 4 new characters added

I think a Dancing Stage title would be good since they're officially dropping that name come DDRX for europe.

Two games in one year? Absolutely not. The current yearly calendar is already enough. Hell, X AC will be released 4-5 months after US CS. I'd prefer if they released it in the fall as usual, but didn't give it a traditional name (something special like Party Collection). But Japan gets the year off. Otherwise, we'd just have to receive another catchup mix.
