dont forget the fuck ton of other trademarks that activision got when they bought guitar hero. pay attention to whats going on, this isn't the first one FFS. guitar/drum villain never had anything happen, DJ hero never had anything happen, drum hero never had anything happen, and odds are dance hero wont either.

all they are doing is stopping people from running with the "hero" name, that's it. you're all being a bunch of immature internet dip shits because a company is stopping someone from using their idea(in this case, a name), similar to how konami had every right to stop another company from using their idea and everyone freaked out because roxor was too stupid to cover their asses legally.

try using logical thought before posting this kind of shit about how they are ripping something off. i know this is the internet, and logical thought is generally frowned upon, but really, try it some time. if it ever DOES come to pass, it will probably include a shit ton of features and game play elements that konami's dance game doesn't implement just like GH has tons of shit GF didn't implement.

Apparently Konami is the only company that is capable of coming up with an original idea for a music game. Both Activision and Harmonix are stuck in an endless cycle of copying an idea of Konami's, then the other one proceeding to use that same idea under a different name.

Actually, Harmonix made FreQuency/Amplitude. They can be (sorta) excused from that.

however, i still think my point stands. half the crap that harmonix/activsion trademarked never had anything happen, and everyone is being a bunch of tools about the fact that konami did it first.

if everyone had this mentality, we would still be playing whatever the first video game system was(atari, colecovision, or something like that). i dont remember anyone saying that they did it first and the other company was ripping them off when the NES, SNES, N64, GC, Wii, genesis, sega cd, saturn, dreamcast, xbox, xbox360, psx, ps2, ps3, etc were released.

i dont remember people saying sonic was a rip off of mario back in the day based on the fact that both games side scroll and involve a lot of jumping.

its just a load of crap. one company already proved that they can make a game as good as konami's dance game, but they didn't cover their asses and now they're done. maybe this time we might see another good dancing game that covers their ass, and forces konami to step it up. GH is leaps and bounds ahead of GF as far as the engine goes, no reason their dance game cant be better than DDR.
