"On ZiV I'm like Princess Diana"
So, there's a few videos on YouTube of some arcade game called "Grand Cross" made by Konami. I really can't find any information about the game itself and how it is played, but if you get certain 'jackpots' the machine will play you the video from some IIDX songs.

For example, here's someone winning a jackpot in which they are rewarded murmur twins.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-368UtiF38&NR=1

Notice that at the end, there change the video a bit to include screens that say "Jackpot!" and throughout the video the words "Jackpot" scroll on the bottom and sides of the video.

But my real question is what is this machine? Oh, and I did hear that the Jupiter cover from SN2 came from this game, confirmation?

Your description reminds me of the IIDX slot machine.

I can't watch the video from work, though. I'll have to check it out later.

I do remember it being said in the SN2 thread that Jupiter is originally from a game called Grand Cross. Sadly I don't rememer the source though.

That video you posted linked to this video where you can see more of the machine.
It looks to me like the game is a bunch of games of roulette one after another and you earn different levels of jackpots. You can see that the player plays "Grand Jackpot Chance" and earns the "Silver Jackpot". Strange though, because I don't know what music would have to do with the game and it seems wierd that it would show an IIDX video somewhere...

Looks more like a game you would find in a casino rather than an arcade.

I remember reading that it was originally from Grand Cross from the BEMANIwiki a while back, but I can't access it anymore. I think I can only access the site from a Japanese IP.

GRAND CROSS appears to be one of the "medal" games, very popular in Japan.

Basically, a medal game is kinda like Pachinko with tokens/coins (called medals) instead of ball bearings. The machine has a bunch of constantly moving parts, usually including either a pair of flippers turning left and right at the top where the medals enter, or a chute that you can adjust yourself. You try to drop your medal in at the right time and/or with the right aim so that the medal falls through/into one of the slots/holes that start bonus games and/or produce on-screen interaction. (Some bigger medal game machines are in the shape of a circle or semicircle, with several stations for one player each around the outside perimeter, and a progressive-type bonus game in the middle; GRAND CROSS seems to be one of those.) Bonus games give you bonus medals, usually dumped right into the machine's moving parts directly. At the bottom is usually a coin-pusher, and any medals that fall off the ledge are yours to keep (or put right back into the machine, if you want). Then if you quit without running out of medals, you can take your medals to be counted at a prize counter, kinda like with ticket games in US arcades, only the prizes can actually be pretty nice. (I'm not totally sure, but I think the market value of the prizes is usually only a tiny bit lower than however much cash you'd have to exchange for the number of medals the prize costs. So if it's 50 yen per medal, 100 medals will get you a prize close to 5,000 yen in value.)

There's medal games for just about every franchise that's popular in Japan (I've even seen a "Medal no Tatsujin", and heard of a Mario-themed one), and it seems Bemani is no exception.
