Okay, here's my predicament: While going over the photos I snapped of DDR SN2 results screens when I was in Japan, I noticed that my photo of the jun Challenge course had a slight problem: The photo was snapped a little too late, resulting in the "Your Rank!" Internet Ranking header covering up my Marvelous count and the middle digit of my Perfect count.
So, the info I have is this:
??? Marvelous
1?0 Perfect
20 Great
0 Good
0 Almost
0 Boo
28 OK
0 NG
874 Max Combo
947,498 Score
Also, the middle digit of my Perfect count is only partially covered up; it's definitely not a 1, 2, 4, or 7, and most likely a 3 or an 8.
Assuming each step is weighted equally (like all other Challenge Mode scoring systems so far), I should be able to deduce my number of Perfects and Marvelouses by reverse-engineering the score formula, because there should be a unique pair of step counts that yield that exact score. But I don't know what the score formula is. Can anyone please help me?
[Edit: After a ton of calculations and over two hours of work, I've figured out this much:
Score = 1000000*DP/MaxDP
Each step is worth 3 DP for a Marvelous or OK, 2 DP for a Perfect, and 1 DP for a Great. BUT, for some crazy reason, some steps seem to give 4/3/2 DP or even 5/4/3 DP instead of 3/2/1. This increase in value seems to apply to all steps after a certain point, but I'm not sure how exactly it works. Further calculations based on Internet Ranking scores yielded that 1DP on jun is worth about 308.83 points, which means a max DP of 1000000/308.83 = 3238. This also means my score is 947498/1000000*3238 = 3068DP, which is 170DP off the max, and the Greats account fo 40DP, meaning the Perfect count has to be 130. So now I know the missing digits of my results, but I'm still interested in seeing how exactly the scoring system works - does anybody know?]
