Simfiles Reconfiguration

Hey guys,

Uploads are now organised into directories, which means all parts of a simfile may be uploaded separately. The site will also offer a service to ZIP up your simfile for you automatically when you upload a new simfile or whether you update part of an existing simfile.

Another feature I'm adding is the ability to generate your own packs. Which will look at your list of simfiles and ZIP up all the directories involved and any files within those directories. Owners of simfile categories are the only ones that will be allowed to do this and you must wait three days in-between before regenerating the pack in order to save the server dying!

Due to the reconfiguration, can you please state your user categories that you wish to keep as I'm going to do a major revamp of the simfile section. The deadline for this is 19-09-2008, any categories not stated will be pruned away to clean the simfile directory up a bit.

Keep Pandemonium X Bemani Simfiles & Pandemonium X DDR Edits. I do like the pack idea BTW.

I remember there is a category of simfiles with the added difficulties for the official DDR songs that have only challenge step... I would like to have that category saved... I forgot whose category though...

I like the idea for the new simfile directory. I was planning to upload my "Dance Dance Revolution" edit in time for DDRX's appearance but unfortunately I can't.

I'll upload it before Uni3 instead.

Please keep "Goldensunboy's Carpal Tunnel Charts", but you can get rid of my r21 galley since I have re-synced and updated all those files by now, and there are also new ones I've added to my r21 collection at home. I'll probably go about re-uploading everything again anyway, might as well remove.

OK for the time being here's what I've done:

People can upload the banner, background, audio, video, DWI and SM separately.

Or if people prefer, you can upload a custom ZIP that you compressed beforehand so you can include your own files if you want.

You have the option of whether the server should generate the ZIP for you or not.

You can delete any file uploaded.

And you can generate packs if the existing pack is more than three days old, please tell me if this is not working as this can create a strain on the server.

5th style simfile section reopened for anyone with a rating of 25 or over for the time being and is by no means a final solution.

You will notice in the simfile category listing, all direct links have been removed, this is to prevent people raping the links with a download manager which caused the mass 503 outage a few days ago. You will also notice there's a colour code next to the simfile name and the simfile name itself.

If you see a █ mark next to the simfile name, it means a directory has been created for that simfile, and any files within that simfile directory will be included in the pack. If you see a █ mark, it means there is not a directory for that simfile and will not be included in the packs. Just upload files for that simfile and a directory will be created, please note that uploaded custom ZIPs won't generate a directory.

If the simfile name is in red it means the simfile was updated less than an hour ago.
If the simfile name is in orange it means the simfile was updated less than a day ago.
If the simfile name is in black it means the simfile was updated less than a month ago.
If the simfile name is in gray it means the simfile was updated more than a month ago.

Please note that the code has not been checked thoroughly and the best way of finding the bugs quickly is if you all go and have a play around with it, please tell me of any problems you encounter.

Oh, another thing, RAR archives have been deprecated, any official simfile that was using RAR as the archive has been deleted and will be reuploaded when I get a chance to or if anyone is volunteering to help me do it.
