So I was playing DDR with a friend of mine today. He isnt that good though (well, compared to me). So I see him pick CSFIL (SM) on 
and see him struggle like crazy on it. Funny thing though, I remember a time when I thought that it was impossible on and now I can AA it on 
. This ever happen to anyone? Anyone ever play songs that are easy but used to be hard?

Yeah, all the time. In fact, I was playing MAX2 CS the other day, and I picked Candy Heart, and I was remembering when I was happy to pass that on light mode. 
It's great to realize that I've come so far... but I still have a long way to go!

I remember the first time I ever played DDR. I was standing there and had absolutely no idea of what I was supposed to do. Now, I'm pretty damn good.

Yeah, I remember my first couple days. Working my way through the SN1 US CS list on basic, one song at a time. Failing Xepher and Red Zone. Working my way up to passing FELMB at the end of the first month.
I always try to look back and keep that in mind when I encounter a less skilled player.
Now I'm sitting here wishing I didn't have this damn cough, so that I could play the hard 9s and easy 10s I enjoy so much.

When I started playing seriously, I made my way up to Heavy pretty quickly. It was on a soft pad, so I couldn't do as well on arcade pads. Before playing more than just a few Heavy charts, I expected 8 footers to have streams full of jumps. 
Now, I can do a few 9's, but I'm more used to arcade pads now and can't play on soft pads very well.

Using your numpad as an analogy, it's 79795 (ULURULURC). Each time you do that it puts the speed up another notch until it wraps. If you're watching the screen, you'll see a speed icon quickly flash by.
