Comic-Con 2008

I'm pretty sure most of you know what Comic-Con is and what it means for the gaming, comic and online world. As a San Diego native it's easy for me to go. I have a 4 day (and preview night) pass so I'll be going (and i'm excited).

Last year at the Konami booth, there was Supernova 2 CS and Hottest Party. Although both had a small song list. Square-Enix was awesome with their own store for figues (mainly Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy)

Are any of you going and if so what are you looking forward to?

I hate Square Enix with a fury of a thousand storms. I'll be in Japan this year, won't be able to make it. >: Although it was fun last year.

I'm not sure what San Diego Comic Con YOU were at, but the one I was at had the complete default songlists for both Hottest Party and Supernova 2. (Actually 2 of the default songs were missing from Supernova 2, And Then We Kiss and Rock Your Body)

Anyway, if any of you guys know me and kept up with me over the years, then you know I have always had the hot report from the comic-con. This year will be no different and you can count on me to give you all the buzz.

I'm also a San Diego native, so I'll be going. I'm excited to see all the booths, do some shopping, and catch up with some old friends.

If you don't know, the preview night (for the people who bought all four days) is going to open in a couple of hours. I'll be there and will hopefully be able to get some screenshots or even a video. I'll be back around nine PST with either happy news or a let down.

When does preview night actually open then? Cos maybe some of you guys could SMS/text me preliminary news while you're in there.

According to the website, the preview night goes from 6PM-9PM PST. That's about 3 and a half hours away.

OK maybe not, that's 2am-5am here. Damn time zones.

Just so you know it is preview night so the konami booth (where SN2 was last year) may not be open entirely. hopefully it is

Tonight is just the priview night, where people can only see the games, and not do anything with them right?

Then tommorow, people can actually play the games, and so forth right?

Yesterday (Wednesday) was the preview night. You could play the games and all, but the place was only open for a few hours.

Today (Thursday) is when it began and it will go until Sunday.

2 Things to announce...

DDR HOTTEST PARTY 2
It is playable and has what looks like the default song list. Bemanistyle beat me too it so look there


Rock Revolution

It was a playable demo for the XBOX 360, had a guitar and drumset
The new drumset feels very awkward. it's like the drummania buttons only alot small and closer together

The game had only 5 songs playable,
1.All the Small Things
2.Given Up
3.Pain
4.Somebody Told Me
5.Still of the Night
apparently the game can use the guitar hero guitar instead

Damn that sucks, looks like the only way we're gonna get DDR X and DDR U3 info is from the Linkin' Park tour...

That RR song select is probably the most basic that I've ever seen.
