I have a friend who lost her e-amusement card for her DDR profile that saves her scores and everything. Luckily, she had a picture of the back of the card. So we created a Konami ID account, then continued to the e-amusement Japanese site. We linked her old card to that site, then transferred the player data to the new card, which popped up with the old player data. When we went to play DDR World, the new card didn't pop up with her profile. Instead, it popped up with a fresh DDR profile from a Japanese region instead of USA as usual. We transferred her player data onto the new card and it showed that it was there. It showed dance rush data and DDR world data. Looking at the player data. Dance Rush shows up with the old player data, but DDR World doesn’t. Is there any way we can access her old data? It has three years of plays on it...

Konami had gotten back to my friend and they had said

"Regarding the matter you contacted us about, since you played "DanceDanceRevolution WORLD" instead of "DanceDanceRevolution A3", your previous data will not be carried over.
Also, since you have already played "DanceDanceRevolution WORLD," your data will not be carried over or restored even if you play the previous version.

Please note that the version being distributed may differ from store to store, and as this is a support center exclusively for Japan, we are unable to provide specifications or support for players overseas."

So the play data is now forever lost...
