Excited for this! Not a fan of the upgrades to Switch 2 versions of existing games being paid and Mario Kart being $80 on its own, but I'm excited for most other features and games that have been shown off.
Extremely funny that the Nintendo of America stream of the Direct crapped out for a few minutes and came back online just in time for 2 seconds of Silksong.

80$ as the new standard for game prices is a disappointment.

$119.95 for MK (in Australia) is wild.. plus, I don't think much can justify the price tag of $109.95 for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition for me.

U.S. tarriffs (import taxes more or less) on Vietnam (where Nintendo Switch 2 is being produced) are 46%. I'm not happy about the price, but it is what it is. Just wanna see the differences of Pokemon Legends ZA on original Switch + Switch 2 to see if I'm gonna rush to get it.
Also am excited for the new Mario Kart World game!

I don't think the game prices are a big deal if nothing gets DLC and they're as substantial as games are after DLC. Games might as well have been $90 on PS4 and Xbox One, pretty much every big release had a deluxe edition.
I hope publishers get to decide how their games upgrade to Switch 2 versions. Nintendo obviously wants us to pay and I don't think most people are shocked by that, but PS5 and Xbox Series S/X have a mix of free and paid upgrades. I really hope Bayonetta 3 is slated for an update.
I didn't see anything that made me want to buy it on day 1, unfortunately. Age of Imprisonment, the Zelda upgrades, and DK are on my radar but I don't consider a single one of them to be a system seller at this price and they aren't enough combined to convince me. Honestly, I'm a little disappointed that Nintendo caved to everyone that spent the last few years screaming about specs. I would be all about the Switch 2 at lower specs and $300 again. I really don't care if my handheld can do 4K when I dock it. My Steam Deck can't, not in game anyway. But a handheld that can do that when docked and do 1080p 120 FPS with it's built in screen isn't gonna be cheap.

I hope they're hiding more secret characters than what was shown. I'll play as the cow for the memes, sure, but Toadsworth and E. Gadd are long overdue.

Sorry for the bump. But for any other interested parties... I'm so so so excited that a release date was announced for Legends Z-A! October 16th, mark your calendars.

I secured my preorder for Legends Z-A on Pokemon Center. Hope I get the Chikorita plush, but any of them are good with me tbh! Also, I watched the Donkey Kong Bananza direct. I'm not even that big of a Donkey Kong fan, but I did enjoy Super Mario Odyssey and it's very much giving that. Plus the queen diva Pauline is there! What are y'all thinking? Jw.

I've been too busy focusing on New Horizons (I literally only just bought it a month ago) But Donkey Kong Bananza is looking pretty good...but yet, I will pick it up later on as back log is growing ever faster. Plus I do intend to buy Legends ZA. Lets hope the old guard hasn't meddled to hard with this one, the last Legends was good, but I can tell they were gonna let them explore a new battle system

I had no intention of buying Bananza right away but the more I see of it the more it looks like it’s built on the same engine as Odyssey, it looks like movement is gonna be just as fun and transforming into the animals is reminiscent of the Game Boy DK Land titles. I’m sure my kids will like just breaking stuff too.

Absolutely! During Legends Arceus, we got some changes in turn mechanics and status conditions. While that game had fewer trainer battles due to its historical setting, this one seems to focus more on battling with features like the Z-A Royale and dodging mechanics teased in the trailer. I'm excited to see how it all unfolds, and I appreciate that Game Freak has another way to experiment with and keep Pokemon's formula fresh. It really enhances the mainline games, especially when comparing the changes and evolution from Sword/Shield to Legends Arceus and then to Scarlet/Violet (in my humble opinion).

This part... when I saw that in the Direct, I was like "oh, this is a perfect family game" especially with the local co-op mode.
