ok I was fooling around in the settings and then I started playing in game mode. I then failed a song. And it showed the GAME OVER screen! And to repeat this is the US home version! Is this a random glitch on the disc, or an actual setting on SN2? If it is a setting can someone tell me what to do to get it again? i like making things look more arcade like

Change you fail options to Default. Not "End of Song".;) Try that.

i already had it on default (it's actually called ARCADE). i am just puzzled why i can't make it do it again. i am starting to think it was a random glitch on the disc. i'm pretty sure GAME OVER is disabled on all home versions of DDR

Is Event mode on? If It's on, then you play in tell you are done. If It's off, You have a number of songs to play(like in the arcade). Event mode has to be off to get EXTRA Stage.;)

Huh? EX2's the only home version I've played that doesn't do Game Overs, because it's only on Event Mode.

If you're talking about GAME OVER and then MUSIC SCROLL, you have to play on BEGINNER mode.

oh! maybe it could be that! i'm always on basic and above so it could be that. there was also another question i had stuck in my head. you know when you clear encore extra stage at the arcade in SN2 you get the credits like in this video? Is it possible to get it on the US home version? I can't do expert on unreal so I can't even pass extra stage. has anyone passed encore extra stage on the US home version of SN2? if you had i would really like to know if it's the cool credits like in the video link or the poorly made one you can see any time.

You can, you have to play through the TUTORIAL and one stage after that. XD
