Dilemma

Ok, I'm trying to figure out what I should do... I either have two options.

A) Buy SN2 JP ASAP
B) Wait until I figure out DDRX's full song list, and then decide which I should get.


What should I do?

It really depends. How long are you willing to wait? DDR:X's full songlist most likely won't be revealed until it's release date (Which is August at the earliest, most likely September). I would guess that DDR:X will have most of what the US didn't get in SN2 JP, at least KO wise.

I'd say wait it out. There's always StepMania to tide you over until DDRX comes out, and the best KO's from SN2 should be on DDRX. It would have been worth it much more if you got SN2 (J) right when it came out, or within a few weeks of its release.

That said, get Gold right on its release! *already has a preorder and a controller floating around the UPS somewhere*

If you already have SN2 US then I would just wait for X I think, or at least wait for the final songlist. Either that or do what gsb said and get Gold, thats a great idea

The only thing you're likely to miss out on with X are the boss songs from SN2US because they were already on the previous mix, so if you really want those, I would go with SN2JP.

However, with X, you're likely to get what you missed out on SN2US, plus some new KOs, with possible bosses other than Pluto/Relinquish.
I would wait for X.

Konami makes fans confused when they release catch up mixes with Japanese releases.

Yeah, I know there's stepmania, but I play the ITG version of it. Better graphics and better random movies and other stuff. And I don't play beatmania. Never tried, probably never will >_>

I already have SN2 US, so I don't have to worry about that





Hehe, I had a phase, where I was pretty dam addicted to DDR, so I went and bought DDRMAX, DDRMAX2, DDR EX, DDR EX2, DDR S2 and DDR SN2. I have all of them now

They will be some new boss songs. We might only get 2 from SN2JP like Pluto and Pluto Relinquish.

If it was me, I'd see if DDRX is going to be SN2.5. If not, I might get it.;)

As of now I would say that I wouldn't buy, but when it comes out, my impatience will cause me to buy it as a bundle. Besides, more songs to edit = more "fun" for me!

I like Stepmania's editor. It tells you quite clearly what to do and what does what. DDR, however, has all these buttons doing so many things it's easy to slip up and do something other than what you intended.

Well, you could just, y'know, become a packrat and get EVERY song up here for stepmania. (3800 and counting, down somewhere past Timer_Rabbit's simfile category)

I've got just over 1900, but I know at least some of them are duplicates, and many of them are nothing more than crappy mish-mashed sync jobs, so I'd estimate I have about 1500 decent ones.
