Never heard of it... If I saw one, I'd probably give it a go, but I don't like the sound of not having a bar.

Oh, come on, I no-bar 9s all the time, it's really not hard. For anything below 10, it really isn't necessary, even though it can improve your PA. There being no bar probably just means they'll be more reasonable with the charts than DDR/ITG. I can't say that I've found a 10 I enjoy playing as much as the 9s I regularly play, so I don't really consider not having 10s a bad thing. I only do 10s because I want to improve my skills.
I'd play 3DDX if I saw one, sounds fun. It'd add some variety to the normal DDR/ITG play I indulge in.

I started off no-bar, and I usually don't use it during casual play, but if I'm trying to get a AAA or playing a 10+, I'll grab a hold of it. I would just need to see how hard this game could get before I require a need for a bar.

I only use the bar if I'm ether going for a high score, or I'm about to die.

DS 3DDX is not really that bad game. It was meant for more freestyling than hardcore gaming. the difficulty is 1-9 and 9s are like 8th notes at 190 or 200 BPM depending on which 3DDX you play (1st or 2nd). When you watch someone playing these charts it's a mix of all kind of movements and does not look good. playing easier stuff and freestyling looks good though.
in a few songs on double you have to jump of the platform to be able to confirm some of the notes (jump off backwards - where bars are on other dance machines) and confirm L on P1 and and R on P2. (notes before were P1 DR + P2 LR)
anyway the timing windows are similar to ones on PIU so getting perfects is no big deal. I get full perfect combos easily on this machine. also you get highest ranking for full combo. (it's a korean game you see^_~)

Nah. You won't get shot. You got info.
It seems like a fun game that I won't be able to play since Philly is a entertainment wasteland with only 2 D&B's that I know of.

I forgot to say one more thing
the original Dance Station 3DDX is actually a dead game already. NGG went bankrupt quite early after release of this game. but later Chinese company EZ2Dance decided to recreate the game. It lives in China now! But all the Korean and "international machines" are disappearing. There were 2 in the Netherlands, one in the Czech Republic and one in Germany. All of them are now gone *sniff*.
