ITG really picks up where DDR left off....

Seriously... look at DDR's hard stuff.... Fascination Maxx and Chaos....

Chaos is UNPASSABLE on your first attempt... you HAVE to learn it... which makes me dislike konami.

Fascination Maxx... is forced 1.5 reverse.. and even then the steps are just stupid....

I mean roxor only have Vertex^2 that's complete muck... but there is a lot of others that are very hard and great quality stepcharts...

<3 hands
<3 mines
<3 rolls

Now if we're talking about ITG3.. then I actually really love it...

Disconnected Zeo = fun
Esperanza = fun
Frozen Fire = fun
Mellow Expert (10) = fun

I played all of these at the Frence national ITG tournament in Paris 2 weeks ago (I came 2nd btw) and did quite well on these charts even though they were site reads.

I saw the Stop & GO! simfile.... and I love it Big Grin

ITG3's been cancelled. although i heard through a friend of mine that it going to be released in japan only through Konami so i don't know how it's gonna pan out.

"Sarah/Autumn"
Well if anything, there's ITG Rebirth.
Also let the record show that while there are some pretty cool charts in ITG (wha, I need to see those 10ft Mellow steps), I find mine overdoses a pain in the ass. It's fun having them go between my legs, but I don't want to be hopping through step-jump streams (i.e. parts of HOTN, Charlene etc). Not that I'm good enough to pad Expert steps anyway but you get the point.
Play my game Arcana Seal of Rimsala (SNES)!

this is she stupidest way to form an opinion. the forced mods on extra stages have no effect on the quality of the simfile. FAXX is pure shit anyway, but still. chaos i passed first try. why? because its on the ps2 version in normal game play. WEIRD.

and ITG does not pick up where DDR left off. ITG was a great game, but ITG2 was just a bunch of generic 9s and some stupidly hard songs(that i can pass all of, there goes that side of anyone's argument). i had fun with ITG2 for a few weeks, but it got boring. supernova on the other hand started out boring and generic to me, but i've grown to like a lot of the songs and step charts in it.

ITG2 is far better than DDR ever will be. Mostly because of the inclusion of many mods, great marathons, and survival courses. DDR only has crap "extras".. Their marathons have no mods, their extra stages are forced reverse and fast, and OMES.... And even at that, there is not very many of them leading to a bored me :/

Generic 9's?
Baby don't you love me has forced twisty freezes that are far from generic
July ~Euromix~ - Rolls != generic
Tribal Style 9 has one of the best stepcharts ever! Nothing is like it.
We know what to do... lots of 48ths that go perfectly with the music...

Yeah generic.... I disagree with you there.

I love the songs in DDR, but they get boring after a while because there is no challenge in them. I tend to only play 5 or 6 different songs on Supernova now.

ITG arrows are also better for people who are colour blind. (note = poor)

Also, I was talking about the arcade version of chaos not the PS2 version... and if anyone says they passed Chaos in the arcade sight read I don't believe them. (on the one more extra stage part)

everyone plays ITG2 on X4 speed and youre going to call FAXX X1.5(600 bpm) FAST? lol.

great marathons? inside out forces pandemonium REVERSE and if you want to be able to read euphoria, its going to be FAST and have sudden. how about nightmare? energizer and vertex^2 are forced reverse, and vertex^2 is fast on its own. you just said you dont like forced reverse and fast, yet the marathons are great? hell, for that matter you dont seem to like forced mods yet marathons are great to you? FAIL.

is chaos available on non-stop courses? i dont have access to a supernova AC, but i find that hard to believe. also, japan got the boss songs for normal play, i would imagine we were INTENDED to, but it never happened. THAT is a fault on konami, not the sudden stops the song comes to that you suck at and blame them for. learn it like everyone else. how about that stop in pandemonium, or xuxa(or the other ITG songs that do it)? those all had to be learned too. they dont effect passing the song first try as they arent on sudden death, but neither is chaos in normal play(oh wait you think youre the only one that can play supernova and that no machine has it unlocked i forgot).

ITG2s note skin is a matter of opinion. i have a friend who is legaly blind(not color blind, i mean cant fucking see) and he plays both games just fine. if he can barely see and read then then the color doesnt even matter.

as for generic 9s, play the others. i didnt say all of them were, just that a bunch of them were. we know what to do i related to burning heat! right away, just a bit slower and synced better. bumble bee, the message, typical tropical, and several other songs have cookie cutter step charts that are very bland and generic IMO.

as for easy, ddr is very fun and you can keep playing the easy songs because of that. the songs are catchy and the steps are good. ITG2 on the other hand lost me because after i got bored with "LOL HARD" the HARD steps for most of the songs just bored me. they werent fun to me, and thats the biggest part of the game.

also, i want to point out that i DO like ITG. its ITG2(catch that number there?) that i have these problems with. ITG was a great start for the series but the sequel failed to impress me. i CAN say good things about it, but the bad out weighs the good IMO. driven is the most visually impressive thing i've ever seen in a dancing game, they did an amazing job with that. the doubles steps to most of the songs are great IMO, because i LOVE twisty crossovery turny doubles charts. rolls were a great addition to the game, they make certain things like the stop in ! a lot harder the first few plays because you dont know the timing, and even after that you have to work to keep that going you cant just rest on a freeze till it moves again. disconnected disco did a great job expanding on the hands idea they were using on doubles in the first game with songs like while tha rekkid spins.

there are good points to ITG2, but they just are out weighed by the rest of the game being boring and generic IMO.

al2k4 Edit: Quote fixed.

Then the truth which to my as much concerns of musical games in the groove as the DDr is almost Equal not to say more but the variety of musics is what it always makes the difference in these games. In in the groove there are several songs that I like like in the DDR both you have different sorts so there is to chooseHappy

So check it, I was on an ITG2 machine today, and it had a folder for "In The Groove 3". But pretty much all the songs were from existing DDR versions. I liked it, even if the timing was a tad off for some songs. And this is (IMO) the weird part: even though the machine had USB ports, for users to play custom songs, I didn't use it; they must have been put on the machine itself. Do other arcade operators do this sort of thing?
98% of teenagers do or have tried caving into peer pressure. If you're one of the 2% who hasn't, DO NOT copy & paste this in your signature.

"I'm honestly pissed off."
Wow, an actual legit 7 month bump, sorta.
The answer is, those songs were hacked onto that specific machine by the arcade operators. Not every ITG2 machine has those songs. I know the one I go to doesn't.

Pretty much if you have a keyboard and a usb drive, you can hack any stepmania song onto an ITG2 machine.
