Pump It Up XX (Arcade, Mobile, HTML5)

This is probably one of the most ambitious PIUs ever if it's going to be the same experience across 3 different platforms, and if so, it will be the first true dance game to be multiplatform (Just Dance doesn't count, yo.) !

Interesting. While I haven't been up to date with Prime 2, this one could be cool.

PIU has been more alive than many other rhythm games during the past 4 or 5 years, there's a lot of new stuff going on.

PIU is more popular than DDR at arcades here. PHM R1 PIU has more players than DDR. PIU is far from dead.

PIU mostly alive in Latin America and Korea and that's it, losing a lot of players in the recent years tho.

Tbf, we didn’t exactly get much last mix when it was a seeming emphasis:

In addition, at least one song was cancelled (Systemization) due to licensing issues, so that can’t have been very encouraging to continue the relationship.

It isn't, but it's just not too important of a game anymore.

Yeah that's understandable when the entirety of the NeonFM songlist is license songs. Was hoping we would get Moonshard and Incubator at least.

Would be neat if they decided to cross songs from DJMax, I've always wondered why they haven't yet. It makes much more sense for them to do that than o2jam and ez2ac imo.

I agree. DJMax has some incredible music and a lot of that remixed classical stuff too which PIU seems to love. I'd go crazy for DJMax tracks in PIU.

DJMax in Pump would be CRAZY, I was a big fan of o2jam back then when private servers were a thing for it and all that.
But a new pump for HTML5.. How is this gonna work. Scores cant be shared between all platforms and if its HTML5 then there WILL be keyboard charts and those charts will be crazy.

It's official, it's going to be called Pump it Up XX (and if Konami was planning a DDR XX ... well, you just got beaten)

And it looks like the game will come out in January, so we won't have to wait too long to see how the game's gonna work on mobile/browser; how dafuq are you gonna do doubles charts on mobile?!

Probably how they were handled on PSP, just have one set of inputs for both sides. There’s always the possibility the mobile game won’t be mirroring the arcade game and could be like a clone of stuff like o2jam just with pump songs.

I always forget how good andamiro are at making their mixes look pretty exciting in their announcement trailers, here’s hoping if a new ddr mix is getting announced for their anniversary they take note!
