Hello. I used to be on DDR Freak and Pump Haven back in the day, but both sites are long gone. The New Orleans area only has two dancing games - DDR Supernova and Pump It Up XX. It looks like there is a development project in New Orleans East where the old Six Flags used to be which closed twenty years ago. When Six Flags New Orleans was still around, its location was listed on DDR Freak. Development on the site started in late January, and stuff should start opening by the end of 2027. The plan calls for a 3.5-acre family entertainment center which would be the size of a Round1 Spo-cha facility. Use the Contact Us page with requests to bring Round1 there. I want to play some dancing games again, but I can't always travel out of state to do it.

Spamming the contact us page won't work. And constantly annoying them might have the opposite effect. You'll just have to hope and pray it's on the opening list in the future. Having patience is the only thing you can do.

Edit: Retracting my statement as I'm giving too much hope to the idea. This development wouldn't likely accommodate for a third party to be involved, after reviewing what the goals of the developer are. Maybe they'll make a concession? I doubt it, but I can't say it's impossible.
*insert crap bemani joke here*

It's not impossible, just new R1 developments seem out of reach for the general public, and are decided internally. I don't know the full situation of the decisions of where R1's go in the country, but I don't think we can be much help in deciding where the next ones are gonna go.

Okay, so It's not New Orleans, but please send all your love and support to Mr. Woody Rush who manages the Edgewater Mall in Biloxi, Mississippi because he's seriously trying to bring Round1 there. I contacted him out of the blue and asked him if he would consider adding Round1 to the mall, and he immediately acted on it. He also encourages us to contact Round1 and let them know that we want it in Biloxi, Mississippi.

If they haven't yet, you should let Woody Rush or whoever else you know in Edgewater reach out to R1 via the real estate email instead of the general contact page. That page also lists a lot of requirements which if Edgewater mostly meets, can help convince R1 to move forward with the idea.

https://bayouphoenix.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/PPT-franklinpres-march-2026-MAINDECK02-revised.pdf

It's been a year since the first post. The people in charge of the project had a presentation on March 6, 2026. I watched most of it, but I'll skip to the final third since the first two thirds are irrelevant to this thread. I knew it was definitely a long shot trying to get Round1 there since they wanted one company that handled more than one thing instead of three different companies handling three different things. Bayou Phoenix chose American Resort Management to handle the proposed water park because they also have experience managing hotels and restaurants in addition to water parks. One of their properties is Epic Waters in Grand Prairie, Texas. I see a listing for Main Event Grand Prairie but not Epic Waters which is just a little north of it. Epic Waters has an arcade, but I can't find too many pictures of it. I also live too far to check it out for myself. These people will take however long they'll take to build this whole project. What they told the residents was that the project would cost $500M and secured $450M from private funding which means they want tax dollars for the remaining $50M. I'll report on this as best as I can if anything develops. I just hope we can get some rhythm games in the proposed family entertainment center.
