I'm not liking that either. What does that mean for the PS2 version? It can't support DLC so I hope, like you said, the number of songs on the disc is the minimum that we will be getting. I do like the 150 DLC songs though. They better have freebies
Those screenshots of the PS2 version look kind of weird. The life bar looks too cartoony and the judgment font is not too fitting (especially compared to the combo counter font). I like how the score box looks though as well as the combo counter. I also see we are now getting the glow of the combo which will most likely mean we will be getting a full combo splash too
This is going to be very interesting to hear as it goes through development.

Yeah but then where are they going to put the 'A' and 'B' buttons? Maybe we will have to use start and select.

I'm either going to guess that they're going to make the diagonals the face buttons, or that they'll be diagonal arrows and that face buttons will be on some sort of box controller.

oh. my. god. failure.

we have RB2 and GHWT with 80+ songs on the disc itself plus DLC, and they're making roughly 32* charts per song with all songs being full length tracks. konami cant manage the same with DDR, making 8 charts per song(10 for songs with oni steps) at 1:30 song lengths?

konami is just trying to make money off of this, nothing more. odds are every DLC track will be a KO, with only a hand full we havnt seen before.

*beginner, easy, medium, hard, expert for all songs guitar/bass/drums, vocals have one chart with varying pitch. co-op charts arent all the same as their single chart counter-parts, and face-off charts arent the same as the normal chart which doubles the chart count.

Well, I DID want some more DLC... but 150? That's a little insane. I also thought they said there was going to be over 70 (or 80) songs by unlocking them/etc. How would you get the DLC for the PS2 version though?

150 isn't too much if you think about it. I bet it will be like 10-15 kos from each previous game. DLC is only for 360/PS3 also... not Wii/PS2.

Partially wrong, the Wii does have DLC. I hope Konami will add the feature to the Wii version though

You won't be downloading songs, though. You'll be downloading the keys that unlock them in the disc!

Don't know why people are so opposed to this. They've clearly decided the songs are to be DLC; given that, it's better to have them on the disc and save your time and bandwidth and have a short, quick download to unlock them. Yes, it sucks to be so close yet so far, but if they have to do DLC, it's my preference.

I'm fine with the DLC as long as it is transferable among games, like Rock Band. I think the on-disc stuff will mainly be licenses.

Looks like pop'n music got the Wii DLC luv.

Oh well, I'm pretty lenient when it comes to DDR game quality. If it has good songs and a nice interface, I'm there.
