Hi guys, could you give me some tips about choosing which OS I should use for my PC?
There's so much error in my XP SP2...
My plan is to rearrange my Desktop PC into a "new" one...
I want to install a New OS into my PC soon...
Which one do you think is better? Windows XP Service Pack 3 or Windows Vista 32 Bit Service Pack 1?
I want an OS that not too heavy to run and efficient...
thanks

I'd go for Windows XP SP3 as well. If you just want a lightweight OS, XP is definitely the slimmer of the two.

Windows XP all the way.
Vista may look nice but in comparison it's a bloated pile of crap.

Windows XP. Vista is nice looking, and that's pretty much it.

off-topics: According to source, Windows 7 is a faster/optimized OS version of Windows XP... is this true?

Windows XP SP3
because with Vista:
-You get an update literally every week
-It's over protective with security (It won't let me, the administrator of the computer, add a plugin and other files to a certain directories while it allows websites to!)
-It get's glitchy sometimes
-It treats admins of the PC like a standard user (or at least it feels like it)
There is way more to be added to this list but to sum it up to save you time: Vista is a failure and Windows XP is more loose on security (but still safe enough)

I thought Windows 7 was coming out relatively soon...
Yeah but anyways Vista sucks so much, so I'd go with XP if I had to choose between those two. I might want to try out Windows 7 first though to see if it's better.

You can actually have Sidebar not run at startup. In the start menu's search box, type 'Sidebar Properties', and click on it. Then uncheck the checkbox with the option to start Sidebar when Windows starts, and apply.

Depends on your spec.
If you have Dual core processor that run at 2GHz+ speed, use vista.
Don't judge vista as "The most bloated windows ever"
Vista is stable, but if you hardware can't stand, you couldn't play a game on your PC (Like i was :p)
If your computer still Pentium 4 like me and you're planning to play games, use XP
