That can wait, as we also want true laglessness, besides, using component cables on your CRT TV is the closest thing to "IIDX in HD" (if your TV has the inputs). Technically, that is HD for CRTs, and it looks so good that many people mistake the game for a PS3 title. PS2 is NO DOUBT GET LOUD the BEST choice for now until the hardware could no longer support whatever new implementation Konami decides to add to the future games.

I'd say it would be wise to continue releasing the games on PS2 while they simultaneously work on moving the series to the PS3 when all bugs and problems are fixed enough for a solid release...by then maybe Sony will be finished with the PS2. We have to also consider that KoJ is still concentrating on AC, so let's not make things too hard on them...we are very fortunate to even get to this point!

beatmaniaIIDX series is the most superior of all music games in my opinion, and THE BEAT MUST GO ON in the arcades and at home!

Konami is holding a KONAMI MUSIC GAME FESTIVAL at its store in Tokyo starting at the end of the month. On its schedule the event it has for November 7th is "Surprise display of 'that game'".

Could be anything, but perhaps SIRIUS?

Also, November 7th is the last day of the BEMANI Week of the festival, so it's more than likely that it's something like SIRIUS CS.

Neither of those would be a surprise, as we already know about PS3 DDR and X2 CS isn't really overdue yet, so it's wouldn't be too much of a surprise either. The fact that Naoki just started asking for opinions for SIRIUS CS over Twitter again and requesting that people use a different tag also supports that it would likely be about SIRIUS CS.

If you'll excuse my nitpicking, the "BEMANI Week" entry on the schedule actually says "From November 3rd, for 7 days", not "From November 3rd to the 7th". That last kanji (間) denotes a duration of time.

I still agree that the "surprise reveal" on the 7th will most likely be CS SIRIUS, though.

As unpredictable as KONAMI is, and considering how Naoki is still getting opinions about the continuation of IIDX CS, I'd not get my hopes up. My best guess is that DANCE MASTERS AC would be that surprise. I HOPE that it's IIDX SIRIUS CS.

I actually considered that possibility, but so far, Konami seems to have been a bit more straightforward about Dance Masters news. IIDX SIRIUS, on the other hand, Konami's been rather coy about. I'd think if it were Dance Masters, they'd just come right out and say it on the schedule.

I'd say there's about a 60% chance it's CS SIRIUS, 30% chance of Dance Masters AC, and 10% chance of some other BEMANI-related game.

As of YESTERDAY (getit? xD), KoJ announced the reproduction of the beatmania IIDX controller on Konamistyle. Apparently it's going to be the same controller, but with a different model number---RU029-J2. From what I read, the controller will have the same functions as the previous model(s), but at a lower price! Tongue

Now that's good news and a possible hint of the IIDX CS series continuing. The "Surprise Merchandise" is supposed to be announced on tomorrow (Nov. 7th); we can only hope that it's SIRIUS CS. Oops

Note: This product, PS3 does not support.

PS3 controller is not equipped with a conventional terminal.
Using all of the controller port controller for PS/PS2 Sono Tame can not connect.
PS/PS2 you play on the PS3 wireless controller software (SIXAXIS) Please use.

hmmm, if sirius cs is supposed to be on the ps3, then this doesn't make me too hopeful. konami really are keeping us guessing
