Skyrim is old hat. NBA2K is hardly something worth getting excited over. Mario and Mario Kart need to stop. Splatoon update... well, it's a Splatoon update. What's the excitement?

I like the name Switch, cause you'll want to switch to something else once you start playing.
I know it's an early concept, but that tablet design better change fast. The controller design looked like it was borrowed straight from the wreckage of the Ouya. I'm sold on Splatoon/a possible sequel and anything involving DLC, as long as it doesn't involve buying the Switch cause i'm not doing that. It'll probably sell well.

The "I don't play games all that often but a few of my friends from out of town are coming over and I need something to help break the ice a little, and the GameStop cashier said people like to play Mario games so I got a bunch of them to go with chips and dip" console.

The design of the Switch still looks too much like DS/Wii era hardware. I was expecting it to be something completely new, and not done before.

It's basically what the WiiU should of been all along, but four years too late. I'm skeptical about what the sales of the Switch will be; hardware and software. And I didn't see any HDMI cables plugged from the system to the TV. Were they just hidden?

And why such a generic name? Even "Swap" would of sounded slightly better, IMO. Even the logo is more memorable than the name itself.

I'm just hoping that when you take the tablet on the go, that it doesn't require a constant Internet connection to use/play (single player games anyway). It would be nice to play this on work breaks, just like the 3DS/DS before it.

And this system better not require us to rebuy all of our VC games from the WiiU/Wii. I'm not doing that for a third time.

I'll continue to remain skeptical until more info is revealed (Games, Hardware specs, etc.).

Perhaps you wanted to go along the lines of "how long will it take for the system not to feel compelling for third parties to join in".

Also if it's the same kind of third-part support of x1 and PS4 it will still mean jack sh*t to me

If your comments are 100% positive, they're not really worthwhile. Of course it's impressive that it's basically a portable Wii U. The problems start at "Wii U".

Nah, the Wii U only really got third party interest right at the beginning, and even then about half of those were rehashes of 360/PS3 titles. I don't really see much of a reason to believe that this will be any different.

There's nothing to really get excited for yet, but I can't say what I'm seeing is bad. Mario is Mario, I expected updated Wii U ports, and I can't really be excited for a game I already bought on a Steam sale years ago. There's still potential, but talking about said potential is merely fanfiction at this point. I'll wait for the eventual Direct.
