"all I need is your lo~ve ba~by" |
IIDX 13: DistorteD introduced the Cardinal Gate, a set of EXTRA STAGE songs which featured the top IIDX artists of the time using aliases related to the Four Gods.
My questions include:
1. Which of the Cardinal Gate songs is your favourite to listen to and to play?
2. Were the artists used (Tatsh, Yoshitaka, Ryu*, wac and Taka) the best choices or should they have had different artists?
3. Was Cardinal Gate your favourite "themed boss songs" group? If not, which one?
My answers:
1. Ganymede is my favourite to listen to, simply because of the chaotic section when it's running at 82BPM and yet still manages to fit more in than the 191BPM waxing and wanding. In terms of playing, Kachoufusetsu is my pick because you can pick out a melody and so you can get on time more easily.
2. Just about right in my opinion. I'd have said L.E.D. instead of wac if I hadn't heard Ganymede already.
3. It used to be my favourite, but I've warmed more to Lincle Kingdom recently, and it has some of my straight-up favourite songs in the series (The Limbo and Sampling Paradise especially).
Over to you...

1.) Nageki no ki in listening and playing. It's one of my favorites in iidx.
2.) Tatsh, ok. Ryu, ok. wac, ok. Taka, ok. Yoshitaka? No. (Surprise)
3.) It was definitely a nice idea for an extra stage system, the best one I've seen. Lincle Kingdom is pretty great too.
