1. NEXT UPDATE
The next major update of DJMAX RESPECT V will be LADDER MATCH BETA. It is in its finalizing moments.
To present Ladder Match as soon as possible, we are currently processing QA internally and I will announce dates when we are ready.
We believe it would be the most important major update in our Early Access phase, and we are trying our best to present a satisfying experience with Ladder Match.

2. Official Release / Closing Early Access
After the Ladder Match Beta update and a few stabilizing and bug fixing updates, we will be working towards the official release of the game with new DLC packages and contents.

2. OPEN MATCH FEATURE UPDATE AND UI ENHANCEMENT
- New records in Open Match will now be saved in FREESTYLE and Ranking Board.
- Player SPEED and EFFECTOR can now be seen in the game room.
- You can change your SPEED immediately by using number keys 1 & 2 (Even when you are in READY status).
- You can now check the other players' button/difficulty/effector information.
- The results page now shows other players' play information (Rate/Combo/etc).
- Key guide will now show before the song starts.

3. OTHER FEATURE UPDATE AND BUG FIX
- Fixed a bug where MAX COMBO has been recorded in FREESTYLE even if the player does not play the game on a restart.
- You can now start the game with the F5 key in FREESTYLE.
- In a 1v1 online match, the other player's note judgement in the main gameplay screen is now shown as MAX.
- Fixed the issue where Full Screen Mode did not work properly when restarting the game.
- If the game closes because of an update, the record will still be saved.

I doubt RESPECT is being dropped off even with this new game. I could be wrong. I've been wrong once before.
No matter what, highly looking forward to this. Hoping it isn't just RESPECT with a new coat of paint and none of the DLC. If I have to shell out $100+ for shit I already own on the PS4 title, I'm gonna be pissed.

Same; it's a LOT of money with all those DLCs. (It better be keysounded, too; I didn't really get into Tapsonic Bold because it was barebones and didn't have any keysounds, so I refunded it after playing for 30 minutes).

Most likely it will be respect optimized for PC with keyboard charts and all the DLC. If it's got none of the DLC then this will be a pass. They said when this was initially revealed during one of the past DLC streams that this is going to be a PC port of the original game. SO safe to say it's gonna be the same game.

STRONG 10/10 OPINION. Also it'd be pretty weird if they stopped supporting RESPECT after the Steam release.

To be honest, I am already sick of companies releasing sh*t ton of DLCs for their games. I want to cherish for a new DJMax experience on PC but I'm afraid that unreasonably expensive DLCs and all that kind of stuff will ruin the game for me. Let's wait and see what happens

Correct me if I am wrong but I don't believe they've ever talked about the PC port in any of their DLC streams. If they have can you post the link to it? People knew Neowiz were working on huge project and everyone's guess was a switch port. But that's all we knew til they announced V afaik.

OT: I'm not exactly sure why people think V will include all the DLC in the base game. It's crazy to think they'll chart 300+ songs for all the game modes and include them in the base game. It'll most likely have DLC for all their games charted for keyboard and I don't see what's the issue? It's not exactly the same content you bought on the PS4.

As long as it plays exactly like its PS4 counterpart (keysounds and all), I will happily re-buy the DLC packs for the game; I never played the multiplayer because I didn't have PS+ for a lot of this game's existence, so this is going to take me back to 2005/6, when I played the Japanese version of Online.

Speaking of Online... I really hope this sells well, so we can actually complete the whole set (and I can finally play Space of Soul).

I just hope it doesnt pull a Groove Coaster.

TapSonic is very well developed even though its a different team but still.. It has U.A.D and other Respect Songs so..

Are all the songs that are DLC on ps4 bundled with this game and isnt considered DLC?

None of the DLC will be in the default songlist.

Personally I probably won't bother buying V I'm fine with Respect on PS4. While the online modes are super tempting I just cant rebuy the shit I already have. Plus we can expect the new V songs to later be added (most likely through paid DLC rather than a free update) on the PS4 version. Except for licensed songs I believe. I'd have been okay "rebuying" the dlc had it all been dedicated keyboard charts.

Also it looks like there'll be some kind of switch port in the future. So I'm expecting Neowiz to keep supporting Respect with content past 2020.

The game just launched! Currently 20% off until Christmas! So it's $39.99 instead of $49.99

So, my quick first impressions: This game has controller support! There's nowhere in the game that mentions this, but you can play the game exactly like the PS4 version, if you don't want to play with the keyboard! The only catch is that the menu doesn't exactly change to recognize the Xbox One buttons, but I'm sure that will be fixed by the time it's out of Early Access.

Also, the game is keysounded (for the most part), so this is already miles better than Tapsonic Bold! I say "for the most part" because I played the Marshmello song, and that didn't have any keysounds, but the other songs have them, and they work exactly like the PS4 version (once you hit a note, the corresponding button plays the next keysound until it's all out of notes for that button, rather than the Beatmania method where the buttons stay with the final keysound for that specific note).

The only options you have at the moment are Air, Freestyle, Collection, and one other thing. There's no Arcade or Mission mode yet, but again, this is Early Access.

Settings are surprisingly deep! You can actually have anti-aliasing, and you have V-sync on by default

I'd recommend getting the game now, if only because you will save $10 versus waiting for the game to have all the features.

The game plays very solid, so far! I haven't noticed any gamebreaking glitches in the 3 songs I played, and again, PS4 players will feel right at home with the controller support!
