I hope the player data/scores won't get reset, especially if there are no changes in the scoring system...

It seems like the mobile game is getting some Dance Evolution characters... I wonder if A20 will follow suite. I would love to see some fresh faces as well as new outfits and things for returning dancers.
I just want Maho back.

I hope they'll add good songs and awesome charts instead of pointless things like characters and outfits

Might as well point the elephant in the room in terms of what I'd like for DDR A20 to do:
BRING BACK DANCEMANIA LICENED SONGS.
Bonus points if they can bring back the Max-Extreme licenses (Flash In The Night 18 CSP let's goooooo. XD)
in terms of other stuff I'd like to see, maybe an RPG-like story mode, or a DDR equivalent of Step Up/Class mode from IIDX? It'd be awesome to see what those will be like in English.
Oh, and just thought of an idea, though probably farfetched af: Maybe you can edit charts via the DDR Ultimate Mobile app, and you can wirelessly transfer those charts to DDR A20; maybe even bring back those old edit charts from 3rd-5th mix that were in the PS1 versions, too.
Maybe bring back one of the original announcers, or include an extra stage system that brings back the older interfaces, sorta like a repeat of the 20th anniversary things we got a few months ago.

Look at Akira being so important and needing to come back. ;u;
Make the character selection just that of OurMemories and I wouldn't complain... much.
Gus and Ruby really spice up the cast for me.

I just want to see and play as Konsento and Zukin again. That's all I'm asking.
And since OurMemories is brought up again, I thought it would be nice to bring up the speculations I had from that song from the DDR A thread.
This is a long stretch, but I don't know why the song sounds like it could be the theme/system music for the next DDR game. It's giving me vibes to when DDR A was announced at KAC in 2016.
From the two featured songs I heard in the A20 trailer, I guess not.

Another long stretch, but I have a feeling that this could also be foreshadowing the complete lack of announcer during gameplay in the next game as well. I remember in DDR 2014/15/16, when Dark Rinon was selected, she did not have cut-ins, and come DDR A, all the other characters' cut-ins were completely removed, so I'm guessing the same feature I described could happen from this particular track. I'm guessing this the first time that no announcer/crowd soundbites ever occurred during a song?
I'm still sticking to this theory, and I really hope this comes true.

Here's an idea:
Bring back some old KOs but with brand new charts to fit the modern era of DDR. Could call them (A20 Edit/Special).
So like X-specials but good and the steps make sense.
I don't wanna see songs revived that had ass charts to begin with and still have those ass charts.

I would expect with it being an anniversary mix that there would be some revivals. I’d also love to see some older KO’s get remixes or new edits.

They don't even need to make Specials for them, so many older songs could use regular challenge charts

Another thing I hope for is that they target both Anime fans and fans of Techno/Trance other than mostly anime and EDM Dubstep that sounds like stuff out of NCS or sounds like Tobu or Marshmallow made it.

I generally hope for a few new Challenge charts for songs that don't have one and need them. Old songs like WILD RUSH, which were made in a time when advanced, hard stepcharts weren't common, but do very much have the rhythm and potential to have these charts, would be pretty well off getting one. Everyone likes bonus content for their favorite songs ;)
Also no announcer, thanks.

If they decided to move all songs released from September 2018 onward to the folder for DDR A20, which is when they started to add the 20th anniversary event songs and update, they'd have 17 songs to boot (11 without asia only songs), not counting any new songs that might come with the game of course. I think it makes sense since DDR A has over 140 songs at this point.
I wonder if they'll do something like that, since DDR A did something similar with DDR 2014 songs that were added from December 2015 onward, 3 months before DDR A dropped in Japan. September 2018 would be 6 months before DDR A20 drops though, so I assume they'll just move the asia only songs along with whatever comes out during this time, if any...
BRING BACK DANCEMANIA LICENED SONGS.
Hey there's this pretty cool game where you can play pretty much all the Dancemania licenses you could want, you may have possibly heard of it:
This game's Dancemania licenses were basically a best hits selection, but there's tons of great songs in the games that preceded it that we'll probably never see in a DDR game again. Some of those returned in X3 vs 2ndMIX fortunately...

"Great songs" that would probably be played once because muh nostalgia and then never touched again, much like a lot of the Asian exclusives in Ace.

The Dancemania revivals were consistently among the most played songs on X/X2/X3 (as confirmed by the e-amusement top 30 rankings) during their lifespans for what it's worth.

Speak for yourself. Most Asia exclusives are representative of what people DON'T want to see in DDR, at least speaking for MYself. Meanwhile, I still occasionally play 2ndMIX Mode at my local X3 cab, which doesn't have the update for those songs to be playable in Pro Mode. I also Dancemania licenses in Extreme all the time. I think Dancemania licenses are representative of what defines DDR for a lot of people. I would love to play some of the earlier games but I only have access to X3, Extreme and SuperNOVA for now. Until then I'll play those songs on Stepmania I guess.

BRING BACK DANCEMANIA LICENSED SONGS.
I'll say it again: Never.
Especially considering the fact that even if they did get re-licensed, they'd still be region-locked to Asia due to how EMI Music Japan handles it. And don't forget about RIAA.
I'm pretty sure U1 made it clear that they had to let go of the past in order to make the release of Ace truly international.

Because the idea of IIDX-styled skill courses didn't click with players back in 2009.
