[Theme/sm-ssc][WIP] Dance Dance Revolution 5th Mix

Dance Dance Revolution 5th Mix (for sm-ssc).
Based on PatrickIIDX's 3.9 DDR 5th Mix theme; permission has been obtained from Patrick to use his theme as the base.

No real timeframe, though there will be at least one alpha release (offline home mode + Event Mode gameplay working).

(Widescreen support is somewhat planned.)

Can you really make a GALLERY/INFORMATION mode available? Or is that just for show...? Either way, looks hawt.

It's currently for show, but I've always wanted to make an Information Mode screen in StepMania. It may happen, but it'd be much later.

I'm not going to make a 5th mix noteskin.

The noteskins I'm using in the preview screenshot are KatzeArrows (I recommend the addon instead of replacement).

Imagine if SM-SSC had a little "info" button on the song select screen, and clicking it (or pressing a keybinding) would pop up a little window, displaying the song.txt file from the directory of the currently selected song?

You could do some really cool stuff with that. Not only could you include some "Information" style facts about the song, but also where the song originates from "if it's a doujin song, this could be handy". Simfile creators could even include a little blurb about where to find their simfile packs, which would be a godsend to players who randomly stumble upon a really good simfile, and want to find more of the same.

Maaaaaaaaaan, an incarnation which focuses on actually being practical to Stepmania players, instead of just emulating the arcade experience has so much potential

I don't want to go backwards in time in terms of StepMania versions. The character select screen isn't even POSSIBLE on OpenITG, much less a bunch of other things this theme has.

IIRC, Wanny was working on a 5th mix theme for 3.95/OpenITG.

Better than ITG DARKNESS or all that other recolor garbage.

I would like this as well. I think if that feature was added many simfile creators would include practical info about the artist and song, however people may put useless, fake, or incorrect info. The question I have is which will outweigh the other. Other than that if someone takes the next step to put this out there I see this having a good run and adding to the aesthetics of stepmania.

Hehe, yeah, I was working on 5th Mix for OpenITG. But in that case it's a hybrid between 5th Mix and the ITG2 theme.
By the other hand, this is pure 5th Mix :O

Not sure about having information mode on SelMusic, but I'm working on normal information mode regardless.
