DanceDanceRevolution A20 (AC)

Konami hasn't had a deal with Dancemania since the late 2000's. That hasn't stopped them from reviving songs as late in the arcades as 2011 (also, there are still several licensed DDR covers in the series to this very day).

If anything, Dancemania revivals is a far more likely thing to happen than old songs getting Challenge charts or Konami finally unlocking songs from DDR 2013 as default songs in A20.

It was a joke, guys.

Anyway, I'm not sure if this info should go here or the Ace thread, but 2 more "COMING SOON" boxes have appeared on the 20th anniversary site.

Those have been there for a while now, waiting for a countdown to appear.

Who wants to guess what the final two boxes are? It's obvious that neither of them are A20-related, but I'd like to guess that one of them is going to be a "DDR A memorial/sendoff event" where... iunno, you play one of the original A songs, you can unlock all the event song easily (i.e. every song unlocks the Baby-Lon and Rinion's Adventure songs), as a way to get caught up in time for A20's launch, whenever that may be. That's honestly what I would do if I were in their shoes.

Also, I have another bold prediction: A20's Extra Stage system is gonna be a lot like the Cardinal Gate/VIP Room systems from IIDX 13/14; you won't know what song you're about to play until you pick it, and it'll have a glamorous and ominous music playing as you pick from a treasure chest that claims it's a lost DDR 1st Mix/2nd Mix/etc. song. Requirements could be playing all songs in those older mixes to unlock said chest.

It's likely either:
1) More info on the OST release.
2) More info on DDR Ultimate Mobile
3) More info on the gold cabinet.

Oh neat the original version of D2R and I'M THE ONE will finally be playable!

Seriously it would be neat if there was an event that featured songs that were supposed to appear in DDR games but didn't (except licenses of course). I really think ULTRA-HIGH HEELS could've had a really fun chart

That would be a cool ass Extra Stage system. As far as a final Ace event, I'd like some sort of Infinite Heat event because there are still some songs in the 2014 folder that I haven't unlocked yet lol.

I think it would be cool to have an unlock system where there's layers of songs to unlock, basically an extended Replicant-D-Ignition without the crazy requirements. For example, there are 20 songs (gradually revealed over time) to unlock in the outer layer, then you have 5 to unlock in the 2nd layer, then the final song is in the middle.

Second box is hopefully an actual release date for the DDR A OST. Regardless of when, I'll take twenty for the sole fact that all the Extra Exclusive songs have been some of my favourite music ever to come out of Bemani.
