DDR X2 arcade

so if Konami is using square banners. . . is it possible to change the banner size to squares in Stepmania and change the wheel sort? In making simfiles and a theme for X2 (AC) that is. . .

I think you can modify the banner size in the metrics, and that wheel style's doable. However, I'm wondering if you can do away with banners altogether, and just have the background showing in the music select.

It would be possible with StepMania version 4, version 3.9 are just impossible and has been mentioned quite a few times actually...

In short, everything, I mean EVERYTHING from small things to the biggest things that emulates DDR can be done in Stepmania 4?

Actually, if they can do Pump It Up themes in Stepmania, they can do the X2 AC theme.

SM4's themes are all coded with a programming language (LUA), so if you want something done, provided the programming language allows it, it can be done. And seeing as the entire language is available, that pretty much covers everything.

SM 3.9+ (not sure if it's just Redux or the regular 3.9+) allows you to load backgrounds as well as banners into the cache. It also allows you to have banners display on the music wheel instead of titles. In fact, I use both techniques in my 4thMIX theme. The only question is whether or not you can combine the two; that is, use backgrounds in the music wheel.

That and you can't get a real Cover Flow animation yet.
