implying that the majority of Ziv has sows accounts?
so I assume there's another one I've never even heard of
in any case I don't really care for the foreseeable holding-back, too busy listening to Technika 3 and studying without music to even go to my arcade

The files only require syncing and offsets now. I'm working from 10-00:15 today so I can't get them up today, tomorrow should be okay though.

Sorry but someone want to share this (through fb chat earlier) for Brazen.

Individual song offset in every song in DDR II should be exactly 0 and SM stepcharts is 1 measure earlier than the original position (including bpm/stop changes). No simfile syncing is necessary. You will get presumably perfect sync.

Just checking sillybear's DDR II simfiles which i received yesterday and it's true that almost all songs has 0 offset, using direct rip audio from disc. They all sync well. He means particular to DDR II.
EDIT: his simfiles (whether you are interested or not) has just removed its password and downloadable, so you be the judge. Check their offset too. of course, with sillybear's permission.

I downloaded the files. He uses .ogg instead of .mp3 like the real official files do. It's true that the files have 0.000 for offset, but isn't using .ogg a whole different ball game?

It's not about offsets, but I notice that Unbelievable is louder than Thee Heavens Above.

To be fair, The Heavens Above is a quiet song.

he intend to share it for testing and to show proof purpose only for Brazen to see. He prefers ogg due to same quality at a smaller size. he don't even want to make it official even if he used mp3.
EDIT: wii audio quality is 32000 hertz only.

Where oh where is DDRFreak2011? There are simfiles now, not just music.
Oh wait, they are .ogg files. How do you burn .ogg files?
EDIT: @chewi and @razorblade: It's just that I thought they were missing volume leveling or something.

You can convert .ogg files with Real Player's converter I believe. The quality isn't great, but it works \
Yeah, I'm happy that something is finally up

Wanna hear a story of woe, Katamari style? (Fitting for the Let it Out thread, but anyways):
So I downloaded Sillybear's simfiles to convert the oggs to mp3s. Turns out I uninstalled my converter, so I download one on Cnet.
Two freaking crapware toolbars
Doing a system restore after this post, but man do I hate annoying sidebars. Nothing malicious, but still
Anyways, if anyone does want Mp3 versions, I have converted them, although the properties (artists, album) only show up on iTunes (since I used iTunes to do the property additions). Once I get an okay from Brazen or another higher up that's involved, I'll edit this post with the link. Otherwise, PM if you want.

Eh, it was easier to do a batch conversion... Those toolbars are easy to uninstall, just doing a system restore just in case. They sound pretty nice on headphones tbh.
But thank you Sillybear for the ogg files, they really helped!
EDIT: I should look at where I clicked next time, I think I may have clicked an install button looking back (dang, sneaky malware peeps XD)

Ah, I understand what's going on.
The reason sillybear's simfiles are all synced at absolute zero is because he retained the leading silence in the audio files when he converted the ripped waves to .ogg.
Good choice on the file format, not such a good idea to the leave the unneeded silence in place. It seems that Konami synced their simfiles by adding dead space to the beginning of the audio. Maybe the DDR engine leaves them no choice on official games, but that's not really the best way to do it on StepMania (finding the offset of a song is trivial and takes seconds). If the silence were removed and the audio file began the moment a waveform was detected then each song would need to be synced individually.
