I am looking into buying a set of official arcade pads (or one side if that is all that is available). My budget is flexible based on quality and I'm completely fine with a fixer-up (and would prefer to save cost since I plan to mod it anyways).
The most I would pay would be $350 per pad for a perfect condition pad. It may take some time for me to get the money together as I have a few loop holes I have to jump through.
If anyone knows of a mat being sold in the south-east US, I would love if they tossed a link or contact info at me. I can manage transportation anywhere in the south-east US.
On a side note, if anyone knows any highly reliable third party pads I may consider those as well for a reduced cost (used it fine). I've looked around and everything is either overpriced, unreliable, or non-repairable. If I am unable to find a set of official pads I'll likely end up building my own.

I've looked into Impulse and personally I like the idea of having 9 buttons to allow for ddr, solo, pump, and stepmania x as options but the real heart lies with DDR and I feel the extra buttons and non-arcade layout (slightly raised center/corner panels would make playing feel ungenuine. I'm keeping my mind open though. My hope currently is that with those coming out some people will sell off their decaying official ddr pads. Thanks for the suggestion though.
