I moved here to San Diego from northern California (Bay Area) about 3 years ago and I must say, the arcade scene down here is non-existent! No offence to any San Diego natives, but I don't like it here, the only reason I moved here is because my job moved me.
Anyways, I just purchased Milpitas Golfland's Technika 3 machine and moved it down here to San Diego. I'm wondering if there are any Technika players down here. I haven't noticed any arcades around that have it.
Also, Platinum Crew works on my machine. XD
I'm also a DDR player, have been since 2003. If there is any kind of DDR scene down here, I'd like to know about it!

Congrats, you're the post that revived my account on here, lol.
Though I'm no longer in SD, I can easily tell you the arcade scene has mostly died. All that remains is:
- Nickel City in Miramar (they have a PIU Fiesta 2 cab)
- a few D&B locations (I think one or two have SuperNova 2 cabs)
- Corvette Diner's arcade inside Liberty Station (I believe theirs is a PIU Prime)
- the Boardwalk in El Cajon (which may or may not still have its DDR 3rd Mix cab)
- Boomers in Clairemont Mesa (with a DDR Extreme that usually works and a DDRMAX2 that usually doesn't)
- Brunswick Lanes in Chula Vista (with a DDR SuperNova that usually works)
...and not many players that get together to play.
Please let me know if you find people to play with. One more-or-less active person is Rainier, he hangs out mostly at the Brunswick in Chula Vista, and usually gives out challenge coins he has made, if you manage to beat him.
Also, kudos on the Technika 3 machine

Bump!
I just started playing DDR again. The DDR A machine at D&B is down right now, but it's super good and should be back online soon. I'm into Bemani, but not a pro by any stretch. Always down to play some games. I've got an IIDX controller, some PS2 versions and Lunatic Rave on PC.
Going to check out the Boomers Clairemont location soon.

Well, I've traveled there to the Clairemont Boomers and it's awesome! Music wise, they have Max2, Extreme and HipHopMania complete mix 2. LOVE IT!

Just a heads up, I haven't been to boomers for years but someone recently updated the arcade page on here saying that the EXTREME is basically broken and the max 2 isn't much better. Also I'm hoping that the DDR A is back up within the week, I have no idea how long the repairs are supposed to take but it would be nice if it was before new content comes out.

I just talked to someone on Reddit who was just there yesterday (Dave and Busters) and says DDR Ace is back up!

I'm heading to Dave and Busters right now if anyone wants to join. I'll probably won't be there too long though
Well, that machine is amazing!

Was* amazing :/ Supposedly they're ordering new sensors? Sucks that it's our only machine worth playing in SD.
Maybe it's time to play PIU Prime 2 at Corvette Diner...

They mostly fixed the pads yesterday. Sensors still stick a tiny bit but it's way better then it was before, and they're looking into solving that problem.
