My best guess is that you will have to rely on emulator and dumping the graphics from there...

Oh.. I though you are also asking to rip graphics....... I am not really sure about the step data... perhaps you will need to ask those that are working on the official simfiles...

Yeah I had no intention of ripping the graphics for this project. Just the music and the data/charts as Sig requested in the OP.

Bumping this on the off-chance someone will see this and actually do something.
Many of the CS and Dancing Stage titles have been given no love for years and there's glaring errors (CRASH!, MEMORIES, VANITY ANGEL, B4U B4 ZA BEAT MIX, HYSTERIA 2001 being inconsistent with their DDRMAX2/EXTREME arcade counterparts, Music's background is still wrong, I Need You (Insideout Door Mix) is still wrong, Dancing Stage Megamix/Fever simfiles are still missing, etc. etc. etc.).
Updating the DDR A simfiles isn't everything. These are still significant titles, however small they may be. The Japanese arcade releases were thoroughly given scrutiny, why can't the console or other arcade releases be given this too?

Dead-thread already? No fun!
I propose me to do Aerobics/Diet Revolutions from the PS2 CS games.
Aerobics Revolution
Diet Channel
I request a simfile category for both of those games. I will put in every simfile from those games, while I have the time.
First things I need to know:
* BG picture: what kind of PNG (transparency/compression rate/...)
* BG Music: they're asking .ogg now, so what transcode parameters?
* Banner picture: same parameters as BG picture? Or JPEG for them? What resolution?
* SM file: what custom info to put in them, if any? Only SM editor's?
- BG video: (won't do it, sorry, cannot do it in a programatic way. Help needed.)

I've ripped the entire game as I dunno how to rip the graphics alone let alone just to rip the songs and charts. So that is why I genuinely asked for help and was ignored.
I did not know that song charts could be ripped from the original games, I really thought that one must play and view the steps in order to create the stepcharts.Post #28 · Posted at 2019-06-02 04:49:47am 5.3 years ago
Bringing this thread back... recently I got copies of the Ultramix and Unleashed games, and decided to rip the videos from them (specifically the song-specific ones, namely the ones for the licenses), which was pretty easy since they're just there in a standard folder on the disc. Here's a file with all of them:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1B1kmuG181bRe5R_CJPIRG2dNxJonDJjW
They're left in their original .xmv format just in case, and each folder has a text file indicating which is which (though there's some where the title is obvious enough, especially the DS Unleashed 2 ones. lol)
I did convert a few of them to .avi (via ffmpeg) for use with StepMania to test them out, and they do look like they should (provided they're converted to the same bitrate as the originals), though obviously there's the matter of adjusting the simfiles so that the videos themselves are on-sync.
(EDIT: For whatever reason the converted .avi for "These Words" from Ultramix 4 didn't play the other times I tried it, though renaming all files to remove the comma from the "I Love You, I Love You" seemed to fix it. Keep that in mind)
I'll have to try to see how hard it'll be to rip the videos from some of the PS2 ones, as well as those from Dancing Stage Universe 1 and 2 (provided I can get copies of 'em first)
Enjoy!

Does anyone know how to rip the audio from the Original Xbox DDR/DS games?
I’ve been using BeMedia 2.2.2 to rip the audio from the Dancing Stage PS2 games,
but I’ve had no luck with ripping the music from the Xbox games.
If anyone can help me I would really appreciate It.

I would love for this project to be revived and continued. Is there anyone working on it still?

Are there any updates on this effort?
I've really missed True Kiss Destination, so sad that there are no simfiles of that game out there.

It seems that OHA-STA and DREAMS COME TRUE are the only packs that have been updated up to standards, while TRUE KISS DESTINATION continues to be missing its entire songlist despite still having its own category.
