Does anyone know a good program for video screen recording? I have found some free ones, but none that have a high enough refresh rate to make the arrow flow in Stepmania appear smooth. I wanted to record some stepfiles I have created to post onto Youtube.

Nvidia Shadowplay should work with StepMania
But that depends on you having an nvidia graphics card, obviously.
Its also probably worth noting that I have never been able to get it to work, but I know of others for whom it works.

OBS is probably your best bet, i always get smooth video
if your computer isn't good it won't be smooth though

I get 60 FPS while screen recording Beatmania IIDX on my secondary hard drive. The frame rate never drops so this talk about the frame rate being bad is all new to me.
