HIME TRANCE is a series similar to Dancemania. Except it's TRANCE.

Kind of an offshoot of the Dancemania series. Actually an offshoot of the Trance Paradise series, itself an offshoot.

This is as good an example as any...

I think you're consfusing Trancemania with Trance Paradise?

Trance Paradise and Hime Trance are just themed Dancemania CDs, like Speed / Bass / Summers / Ex

I never knew these Dancemania albums existed. Well, considering that Konami no longer had deals with Dancemania since Extreme, I guess it made sense to put Yuki's version of Love and Joy rather than the cover in the Hime Trance album.
EDIT: So technically speaking, the question whether there's a new Dancemania license in DDR X3, the answer is...yes (Love and joy) and no (different artist used for Love and joy).

If you can stand J-Trance, there are some really nice remixes of classic Dancemania songs. Most of them aren't on Youtube, though :{
Sky High (DJ Kaya Mix)
Wookie Wookie (Overhead Champion Remix)
Boys (Orange Sumer Remix)
Cartoon Heroes (4 Skips Remix)
Moonlight Shadow (Nasca Joker's Remix)

It's not a cover, both X3 and Hime Trance use Yuki's version.

D'oh! Got a little confused there.
I guess Konami still puts at least one new Dancemania license as of X3.

In DDR2010, there is a mode called Dance Off, in which multiple players take turns trying to score the highest on a continuously looping song. Most of the songs are sections of in-game music, occasionally with unique content during the transitions. However, there is one song, called TO DA JAM (credited to U1-ASAMi), that isn't available elsewhere in the game. It's just a cool BGM-ish beat, but the interesting thing is that it contains several clips of the Max/Extreme/SuperNOVA announcer.
I recorded the audio if anyone's curious. (The in-game announcer is still audible in the background -- DDR 2010 lets you turn him down but not off.) I dunno, I think it would make a nice laid-back six footer.

Another thing about Bemani is that there are several characters resembling other ones. For example, Runo Misaki (from Bakugan) looks similar to Space Maco (from "Magic Door"), more noticeably in hairstyle.
Another example I can think of is Celica (from IIDX) and Milk (from PnM), more noticeably in hair and top color.

NW260 Is the artist for Drop Out. So, I found this:
260 is for the BPM
NW is the upside down to MN. MN Means: Maeda Naoki

I hear a stripped version of PARANOiA ~Hades~ on some of the selection screens in Supernova 2 (specifically on the Advanced Modes)

in supernova cs the shop music is a instramentel of flow jammin reggae mix

Speaking of sampling wars, part of the verses inCapsules "Player" can be heard in the background of X2's Dice Master Mode. Veeeery sneaky Konami.

I remember when I would play SN2 online, whenever typing in the password to private rooms, the code input was the tune of Paranoia (the codes were 4 numbers long).
Like... You know the beginning tune of every paranoia song? It was that!

Can someone please upload menu music rips of CS DDR games (priority for games which have menu music that are remixes of playable songs, such as those above )? Personally, I've only heard of the 1998 remix, but only because it's the last song on the DDR SN Nonstop Megamix.

Well another thing about "DROP OUT" is that several soundbytes were taken from Naughty by Nature's "Pin the Tail on the Donkey".

More likely they both used the same pre-recorded samples. I also hear Pump Up The Volume in there.

Wii or PS3?

That recording sounds like it's from the PS3, because of the non-mutable announcer.

But doesn't DDR 2010 PS3 use a different announcer? Nevertheless, sounds very nice.

Wait, was this on a Tony Hawk game? I remember hearing the song elsewhere..

Regarding soundbytes, the Dorm theme of Persona 3 (FES) got sound samples from SO:TTEOT's Bitter Dance BGM, "Funk Boogie", and "think ya better D".
