"HURRRR" |
so I was hoping that with such a recent version build that it would be in preparation for the IAAPA amusement expo that began this week.
reports from arcadeheroes stated that neither Jukebeat nor even DDR X was shown ;/
I would assume that until we see an appearance of Jukebeat at a US trade show its release won't be any time soon.

A post on Royalty Network may indicate that jukebeat is still alive?
On their December 2009 news page (their most recent archive as of now), they have an item that says that Evacuate the Dancefloor had been licensed for the game. In June 2009 (before jukebeat was known about), they had an item claiming that You Spin Me 'Round (Like A Record) and Blame It had been licensed for a game called "jukebeat". You Spin Me 'Round (Like A Record) appeared in the location test for jukebeat a few months ago.

Konami Digital Entertainment has licensed “Evacuate The Dancefloor” (Eshuijs/Reuter/Peifer /Reuter) for game ‘Juke Beat’. We Sub-Publish this song on behalf of Talpa Music.

That's promising news and a nice find. Any potential for Ju(ke)beat to show up in the states would be nice, though I'm still not getting my hopes up at this point.
Too bad we may never see the likes of Sandstorm and Barbie Girl in a Jubeat release again. Especially the latter, being basically inspiration for bass 2 bass.
