June.H from bemanistyle.com has confirmed the first DDR X in North America spotted in Gameworks in Chicago, Illinois. The version number is U:A:A:2009060301. The cab design is much different to the dedicabs in Japan and apparently, many problems are still present such as screen lag.

A few confirmed sightings of DDR X dedicabs in North America. Version number has yet to be confirmed. If the version number is indeed a North America one, the release date would be effectively today.

An online update has been scheduled on June 10th. It will do the following:

・Fix a calorie count issue when using the workout function.
・Fix a high score issue when playing EDIT DATA charts.

Not much mentioned in the KONAMI conference BEMANIwise. The only surprise is when they said that the PS3 and Xbox 360 DDRs will have 8 directional pads and will feature over 150 songs as DLC on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. All DDRs are scheduled for a fall release. pop'n music for the Wii was not shown.

A new Taiko no Tatsujin arcade game has been announced for Asia last Friday. As usual, it will feature Chinese songs exclusive to the Asia region. None of the sections on the official site are open yet.
