Information

The fourth location of Cineplex's dining and entertainment centre, and the first and currently only in Calgary. The arcade and redemption games use a reloadable mini NFC card system called "Game Tags" threaded on a bracelet-like strap, you may also ask for a proper full-sized NFC card instead free of charge at the ticket redemption room called the "Trophy Case."

Besides the arcade, this location features HTC Vive Pro VR with a limited selection of arcade exclusives downstairs in the wall left of the entrance and Top Golf Swing Suite, table tennis, billiards, and cue-less shuffleboard all upstairs. Open to all ages during all opening hours.

A "Begin play" fee is charged for each new card purchased. For standard cards, this fee is $3 and includes 12 extra credits. For premium wrist bands, the cost is $6 with 14 extra credits.

Credits start at $10 for 40, but "bonus" credits are provided when purchasing in bulk.

$35: 140 + 105 bonus = 245 Total Credits ($1.00/7 Credits)

$100: 400 + 390 bonus = 790 Total Credits ($1.00/7.9 Credits)

If you insert credits into a cabinet that is malfunctioning and prevents you from playing the game, you can go to the "Trophy Case" redemption room and ask for a refund, however they will send a radio call towards the machine for maintenance and if you were telling the truth.

As The Rec Room is run by Cineplex, you can earn and spend Scene points here. 1000 points can be redeemed for a $10 discount. Cineclub members can also receive a 20% off discount on 2 individual wrist band purchases per day.
Other deals are also offered alongside Events with special offers that happen throughout the year (follow their Website/Facebook/Twitter for details.)

No outside Food and Beverages other than water are allowed at this arcade and the staff will actively prohibit you from having them anywhere in the property provided they are visible, you can also ask for water in your water bottle at "The Shed" area or the bar area.

There's a free coat check you can drop off your bags and jackets off at, just ask at the host stand and they'll give you a number tag for your belongings. Keep it until you want your items back, don't lose it.
