HotZone is a Brazilian arcade chain that mixes classic arcade games—with newer attractions such as VR rides and 4D cinema experiences.

This particular location is on the ground floor of MorumbiShopping, close to Exit C. It actually takes up several store units, and you can enter directly through Entrance C. Despite the large space, it’s usually very crowded, which says a lot about how popular it is. The arcade is air-conditioned, so at least you won’t melt while playing.

HotZone doesn’t sell food or drinks inside, but you’re allowed to bring your own, which is a big plus. The arcade runs on a card-based balance system: you load credits onto a card using cash or credit/debit cards (Visa and Mastercard are accepted). Any balance you add is valid for 180 days from the last time you use it.

If you recharge R$100 or more at once, you get VIP status. This gives you a 25% discount from Monday to Friday, and 15% off on weekends and holidays—pretty solid if you go often.

There are two types of credits: Normal and Bonus. Machines that only accept Normal credits have a pink-glowing card reader, while machines that accept both Normal and Bonus credits glow blue. Normal credits are always used first, with Bonus credits kicking in afterward. Any machine that gives out tickets—such as claw machines, basketball games, shooting games, or whack-a-mole—only accepts Normal credits. Tickets can be exchanged for prizes at the cashier.

Almost none of the machines support progress saving systems like Aime or Banapassport.
