情報
Known variously as "Shake Shoppe", "Shake Shoppe Arcade", "Hershey's Shake Shoppe Arcade", "Primetime Arcade", or "that one arcade with the giant ice cream cone outside". The Shake Shoppe is the northernmost arcade on the Seaside Heights boardwalk and another one of the many, many boardwalk arcades in the area that have a heavy emphasis on redemption and crane games.Much like its brethren up and down the boardwalk, the games at this arcade can be played with reloadable game cards, coins, or bills. Almost every machine has a bill reader installed on it. Unlike most of the other arcades, the game card credits do not equate to dollars at a 1 to 1 ratio; 1 dollar is equivalent to 6 credits. For the purposes of this list, game pricing will be given in dollar amounts. However, you can gain some bonus credits by purchasing game cards in $20 or higher increments;
$1 = 6 credits (~16.7 cents / credit)
$5 = 30 credits (as above)
$10 = 60 credits (as above)
$20 = 140 credits (~14.3 cents / credit)
$50 = 400 credits (12.5 cents / credit)
$100 = 1000 credits (10 cents / credit)
Hours of operation may vary seasonally. Their website is out of date and they don't post current hours on Google, Facebook, or elsewhere, so it may be worth calling before heading down. The hours shown below were added pre-pandemic and as such may not be current.

4 years agoRaPpApErI played doubles on that machine in August, they turned the volume up a bit, but still quiet. And I think they fixed the right side.

4 years agoRaPpApErI haven't played on the right side cuz last year it was hell on earth. Although, the left side is probably the best pad in Jersey. Also the monitor wasn't lagging when I was playing the entire time this time.

4 years agovlsaurus1So I heard SMX is starting to make its way to the Jersey Shore. I know there's one already in Ocean City, and Kyle said there were more on the way. Hopefully this location or somewhere else at Seaside will get a cab!

7 years agowarpdr!veto actually answer your questions more effectively, if you were using that card successfully before there's an error with the hardware, management would have to look; considering they didn't even bother with the unlock codes, and considering I've seen questionable behavior regarding the cranes there you're likely out of luck

8 years agowarpdr!veok so I'm kind of speculating based on what I've seen but considering the lack of changes from the high scores I got 3 years ago and how quickly the machine got worse from weekend to weekend I can only assume this machine is played incredibly infrequently because otherwise this thing would be on its last legs, because geez the drop in condition is severe.
Also not to mention that this is hopefully not permanent but something around there was making bugs swarm the machine because that wasn't a normal problem I face there. Management was very apathetic to this point so I wouldn't have a ton of confidence in them putting a ton of work into it for the no one that's playing it (or I assume no one)
Disappointing but kind of expected to be honest.
