I did find another Extreme machine in the Fun Zone arcade today that actually works, so at least there's still something in the area.
If the monitor is pretty much yellow, then it's probably the same machine. It actually plays perfectly fine. Like, I was actually surprised how good the pads were despite how obviously bad the CRT was
I stopped in for a short time and I looked around the whole place and didn't see DDR anywhere. But there's a pretty bad looking Extreme at Adventure City now, so I'm wondering if maybe that's the one that used to be here?
I can't really comment on this place's current state since I haven't been here in 2 years, but the monitor on the Extreme was very much on its last legs when I was there. Upgrading to SN2 would have been pointless unless they were also planning on replacing the CRT.
What is going on at this arcade? Is DDR, or any dancing game, really gone? It would have been easy to upgrade it to SN2. What about KeyboardMania and PercussionFreaks? Are those games still there?
I played on the DDR Extreme earlier today, the pads were pretty good. It does not have the unlock codes put in though and the screen does take a little getting used to since it's so worn out. No biggie though, I was still able to get SDG's.
