Yeah; there'll be a test location here around late July (if not due to transportation, early August) for DDR 2014. I tried finding the facebook post at Round1Entertainment but unfortunately I can't find it : \
Though, at least as confirmation, it's on the Round1USA twitter.
Supposedly DDR 2014 will run on the Japanese white cabinet, be connected to E-Amusement, and will be a "localized" version for the US (at the least, it'll be in English for sure)

I haven't been to R1 Puente Hills in a while, but if there is anyone here who goes there for DDR, ask an employee if you can go into the X3 operator mode to turn off eAmusement in the network settings. @yindesu Sorry, super late response but I said the X3 is not unlocked. It only has the default songs and without the cab being online, I don't think the songs can be unlocked lol. The X2 cab says MAX unlock on the title screen but it's missing some songs like I'm so Happy. 11 years agoyindesu

I'm 6'6" and used to play IIDX all the time here until I couldnt use a chair, and no, I'm not "too feeble to stand". Quite a few people that play IIDX seriously need to do so sitting down. Nahhh everything's still chill, it's just the chair and food bringing that's really getting on his nerves. If you haven't known this, the DDR X2's P2 left sensor has been changed. The DDR SuperNOVA2 is currently inaccessible.

Technika was being odd to me today a couple times (like giving me a shitton of Breaks on Heart of Witch MX for no reason), couple that with everything else that's wrong with it I changed it to "Moderate". GFXG is unplayable, the framerate is something like 10-15fps and there's massive input/processing lag, for once I agree with everyone else who says the techs are useless, because today's techs didn't listen to a thing I said about the game.

DDRX2 still has crosswired problem, and the pads are not so brand new anymore. Pump Pro2 seems to have been fixed though. 14 years agoyindesu

Something is quite screwy with DDRX2. At first we thought it was resetting our speed mods to 1x, but then we figured out that the pads were acting like the panel buttons... so you could change speed mods and enter your name with the pads, which isn't supposed to happen. 14 years agoyindesu

Awesome Arcade. I Come Here every day. The pads on the DDR Supernova 2 machine have been fixed so both work perfectly. You can play doubles,versus mode with just 1 credit (1 DOLLAR). The Pump It UP PRO Machines are like brand new and work magnificently. 14 years agoneothe0ne
Added 2x Mario Kart GP 2 and 2x some sega racer next to it.

Okay, so the music games have moved. There is a diamond of Pump Pro 2, Pump Fiesta, Technika 2, and SuperNOVA2 next to GFDM XG, with Pump Pro 2 being closest to GFXG. Clearly there isn't enough power to drive all these music games on the same circuit, cuz Friday night the arcade had a mass blackout due to Technika 2 being turned on. Today, Technika 2 kept crashing/hanging after ~6 rounds of Pop mixing, required a hard reboot each time.

DDR: p1 pads are still working. p2 left arrow is semi-broken again. Also, Final Stage (3rd stage) is locked to Expert/Heavy difficulty now.
Pump: Entire p2 pad is broken.
Drummania: Original sticks are gone. I saw some black kid throw the new wooden sticks at the machine after he tried playing some hard song on 1.0x.

GuitarFreaks XG: still seems to work. However, the p1 speakers are like, parallel with the cabinet. Meaning the sound is directed in the complete opposite direction of where you should be standing. 15 years agoneothe0ne
