"Aiming for an MFC"
Like others, I upload videos to Youtube of some play throughs of DDR/ITG.
Now, I've only uploaded a few, and most get flagged. Even if they are of official songs.
I understand maybe some ITG songs on some song packs, but still.

How do you all get around that? I have a new video I've uploaded that has been blocked in most major countries that I would want to see the video.

Yes, the music is copyrighted content, but I can't exactly upload a ITG/DDR video with no music, when the entire point of the game is to have music playing.

Has anyone else encountered this?

"BANNED"
I'm surprised that my vids aren't flagged, but as far as I can tell and know that there is no way around it except to upload to a different video sites, like twitchtv for example. Ever since Google took control over Youtube, its been going down hill alot.

Apparently YouTube has been suddenly on a content ID blitz involving video game stuff this week; have you actually checked what is exactly causing the block, content-wise?

I've had a old video of me playing Xepher and I got a content ID thing for it. As far as content IDs go as long as they don't block the video worldwide then you are good.

"Aiming for an MFC"

Thanks for the responses guys.

I did a recording of me playing Abracadabra from Easy As Pie 2 (Mandodo) - (Mute resynced), and it flagged the song.
Playable in my area, but not in the U.S, Japan, etc.

Tell me how many of you can see this:

I can understand this a bit more as it is a video of a song that isn't official, but unlike regular videos, I can't exactly get rid of the original audio. Tonnes of videos have no issues with songs like this.

Also flagged was a video from MAX 2, filming More Than I Needed To Know, however that was playable everywhere, so just a 3rd party flag.

Funny thing is, a few weeks ago, I posted a video up of the Zimlord file of Armin Van Buuren - In & Out Of Love, and got no flags at all.

Surely it is good publicity to have music on videos? I don't mind Youtube putting a buy it now label on it though. They have now done that with the Abracadabra

yep that didn't play for me. I think IMO that it would be safe to stick to the KOs instead of Licensed songs, less likable chance for Konami to pull the plug.
