on here is ollec2004's DDR extreme US pack. i never knew about this.

i cut girl1a/1b differently from how he did it (i couldn't possibly have done it right, i didn't know about these vids)

so they're now different/incompatible videos.

edit: he added the videos because of Do Me (HIGEO Mix). but he did not make cuts of heat1 that are necessary for it so he made a poor script.

edit: another related issue: he uses lady20 for the vid from waiting for tonight. but again he made a poor script because he does not have the water/moon/wind vids. i made lady20 point to a different vid (that isn't used by anyhing)

I'm just curious... can the "videos" from Party Collection be ripped? Specifically the ones from Conga Feeling and Dream a Dream.
Or are they in another format?

they can be ripped. i have plans to release a separate pack with just these vids, because they are being requested a lot. i never intended for them to be in the normal pack.

here is one for the beware 2005 pack. the ollec2004 and magmarioX packs have been lost forever that i know of (someone can share a link to them if they have it)

Beware, you are truly a legend, and you deserve a lot of credit for the stuff you've done.

I had a quick question: there are some videos that are tiny snippets and look odd repeated rapidly, or are so specific to a certain song they look out of place in random BGAs, like those for Ever Snow and Sakura.

Is there a comprehensive list of what videos are underused or even exclusive to certain songs?

EDIT: Nevermind, it's actually just in the download readme in the updated pack.
EDIT2: Or maybe it isn't? Looks like it's only the newly included vids.

no i did not make such a list. from the top of my head some vids that are only used in 1-2 songs:

- afro
- washable
- sakura1
- alice
- riyu
- roku
- chase6/7

also the newly included vids that are reported as being in no known songs.

Maybe I just need to look harder but I can't seem to find the movie at 0:49. Is it in?

My apologies if this has been addressed, but I didn't see it when I skimmed through this thread. I have the DDR arcade song pack collections from ZIV, but the song's .SM files don't have any information declared in the BGChanges line. How did you all get the videos to play correctly? Wouldn't you need to tell the song when to play each and every video segment at the correct time?

I was hoping you might have entire videos for the song, so I could just drop the respected video into the songs folder and forget about it. Similar to how ITG3 did its BG videos. Sorry, I don't mean to sound ungrateful. This took a tremendous amount of work and you should be damn proud of it. Thanks for contributing to the community, especially in 2013. I didn't expect this kind of energy/effort from the community anymore. You've rekindled my hopes.

you have to put SM files manually, the ones from the official category here doesn't include BGchanges.

I think somewhere there's a heap of scripted SM files...

Gamelan de Couple, bag and Dance Dance Revolution (not X-special) are confirmed to use the BG changes in DDR 2013. Graduation too but use BG changes V2 instead of V1. Request for scripts of these 4 songs:
* Gamelan de Couple
* bag (BG changes V2)
* Dance Dance Revolution (not X-special)
* Graduation (BG changes V2)

You need to have in mind that Graduation's "revived" BG video is exclusive to DDR2013. The differences in it are exclusive to that game.
It's highly possible that the same applies to bag.

I know the cards videos relate to Absolute, how it includes cards in it's BG video

Will the background videos be in HD?

OTTOMH, you would use either Gigapixel AI or ESRGAN (trained with the Manga109 dataset for most cases) to upscale the videos into HD. It takes a lot of time and effort though considering that you would have a lot of still frames to upscale, so keep that in mind.

This link itself has since died. However, by a stroke of luck I was able to find a copy of the 2005 pack on one of my old HDDs so:

Every video as it was in the release should be intact here, including "Mixer.avi" and "Snow.avi". The only thing is, there is a video called "phoneman1.avi" (the first half of robot18b) that was included when I downloaded this myself years ago. No idea where it came from, but it's there if you need it. I also have a few variants of these old recordings that I'll upload when I get a hold of them (for instance, there is a different recording of pills3 that has the correct colors, as well as recordings of disco2 and max2).
