Huh....there's a monthly in Independence (like 30-40 minutes away from Cleveland) that actually looks promising. Both MM's and friendlies and if i bring setup i get in for free. I'm seriously considering it

But Playing on Final Detestation is the only we me everyone can play fairly on even ground.

The only 2 items I can 100% agree being off are Final Smashes (some of these are INSANELY broken even for Smash Bros. I've had 5 stock games end in less then a minute because landmaster fuck you). and the Dragoon. Then it becomes less knocking people out and more who can get the pieces. You like to play with the dragoon, then tell us how many coin battles you have won.

A ZIv SSB tourney would be awesome, but ya know,ain't happening. $500 Pichu Vs. Jigglypuff crew Melee showdown would be epic. If we could find a way to do this, i could provide setup for 64 and Melee, make it a party with all three games

SSB online?! NO WAI!!! What's with this lag man? My sensor bar is trash and my copy of brawl is messed up, but i could get it to work, but yeah, online is garbage and it'd be practically useless

R.O.B. and Olimar crews are non-existant as far as i know, bu i'd love to find one for each character. $25 battle

Ok, so I tried to play some Brawl with people at my school. Their controller set up was Y to jump and not up on the stick. When I asked to change it I was told tough shit. (honestly who the hell plays like that?) Of course I lost then I get shit for losing so fast. also big shocker items were off. I said I could not play with Y as jump and the response was "It's easier that way". At this point I had it and said "not items are easier for you I mean everyone right? I play with items on so by default that makes me better then everyone in this room". Turns out the guy I was arguing with is who holds to game club at the school and I'm like likely banned from it now. Also he takes his Wii and walks off. Way to not rage quit and walk off like a bitch.

I don't understand that this game club is for everyone to have fun with videogames then when someone wants to play it where they have fun it's fuck you.

Wow... I feel lucky now.

We have a club set up on campus specifically for Brawl, and everyone can have their own profile with the controls set up how they like them to be set-up.

We rarely play with items, but honestly I don't mind that much. So I guess in that regards we could be classified as a bunch of tourney try-hards, but at least we don't play on Final Destination all the time, usually relegating map choice to the random button with a few maps turned off (because honestly does anyone even LIKE 75m or Elektroplankton?).

I main Lucas, Captain FABULOU- er... Falcon (Pink color of course), and will occassional play as Bowser for serious or just to throw people off of cliffs with me.


Interestingly enough there's two different people at my club that main with R.O.B. and Olimer. I might see if I can get them to play against each other now just to see how it would go.

Next time I play with the guys I'm going to just troll and be the biggest asshole as I can. It's the only way I can see having fun at this point.

Babies. So i tried to enter a toruney but they won't let me and yet they won't tell me why. I thought the point of going to tourneys was to get your name out there and meet other players but they just seem to block me out

I might be the one person in the world who actually doesn't mind playing on those stages.

The only stage I don't exactly like playing on if it's just a 2 player battle is New Pork City, mainly because it's just so massive for a 2 player match. Otherwise I don't mind.

My usual mains for Brawl are among Pikachu, Lucas, Sonic, Olimar, Jigglypuff, Meta Knight, and King Dedede.

SSB: Serious stuff. But honestly, what's up with not allowing your controller scheme? To each is their own. It's not like your asking for the moon or anything. Perhaps you should create a rival club that boasts the fact it's actually fun :V

The way I play, I usually like having items on (or most of them) and playing on more of the hazardous maps. I find those games more amusing to play since you never really know what you might get. The unexpectedness is what makes it fun.
From time to time I play with items off, but that's usually when I play with a friend and it's usually only for a couple of matches. I guess I would be considered more of a casual player. Though I don't really care as long as it's fun.

Speaking of which, I haven't played Brawl in ages. I should sometime... after I am done with Assassin's Creed 3 that is.
