Sooo...Kinect

Well it's out, anyone plan on getting it or already got it?

For me, I'm a bit so-so on this, if I did had to get it, I would probably get a few games for it (Dance Masters, Kinect Sports, You Don't Know Jack, & Sonic Free Riders mostly), but right now as its $150, I think I'll wait for a price drop on Black Friday or when they have a sale

What are your thoughts?

My thoughts: As someone who owns a Wii but not a 360, Just Dance 2 is a sufficient alternative, as opposed to the purchase of Xbox 360 + Kinect + Dance Masters + expensive rent so I have a big, clean room for Kinect.

Although I would love to play Dance Masters sometime, it's just not worth the cost (and not practical) to many people.

I got Kinect and I love it and I also got Dance Masters and I have the set list up not the full one just the starter list.

Eventually. Not in any hurry, though.

I don't have a 360

Back in July I tested it out at Mall of America, some games are better then others. Kinect Sports was awesome as Kinect Adventures was one of the most broken games I've played in some time. Maybe they fix some stuff in between then and now, but as for me? No thanks.

I'll probably pick it up if theres an accessory sale down the line. Last year Toys R Us had a 40% off any accessory coupon at one point. I guess some stores have been selling the unit as a system though, since it has its own serial number similar to a console. Probably since its such a pricey item.

I don't think I'll ever get this. If my room miraculously expands, then I may think again.
It's too expensive and I don't have the room. That and I feel it will be one of those things that I use one week then never use much afterward.

Like GoshaDole said, I might pick it up when there's a sale. However, I'm in the same situation as KKiONI, as in I have no room to use it properly. If I were to use it in my room, I'd have to literally empty it.

Even if I emptied my room I wouldn't consider the space large enough to play I could move it to another TV, but I like using mine for games.
Despite my predicament, I would really like to try the thing out once.

I bet Microsoft could make Kinect 100 dollars. I just think they're being their usual selves and making it a little more to increase their own profits.
Although, I found that if you want to buy something from Microsoft cheaper, get it in a bundle.

I think Kinect is $100 for itself, then add the $50 since its bundled with Kinect Adventures so you get 150

Just my thought though. I would wish they had the option to let you choose your Kinect game instead

I kind of want to get this, but if I do, then I'll need to buy an entirely new 360 because i don't think my current one will work with the sensor. If I'm gonna get a motion controller, it would be the Playstation Move because I already have a PS3 and I kinda want to try the PS3 version of DDR out with it, but if i don't then oh well.

Not true actually. All 360's are compatible with this. I think you may be confusing yourself with the new port on the 360 slim. That new port only supplies the Kinect with power.
