He is apparently one of the creators of either ITG r21 or Stepmania, not sure but i had a long talk with him about his experience with rhythm games and that was one thing he mentioned to me about. I seriously don't know why he gets so butthurt about other rhythm games and complains to the developers about it (he has complained to FreeStyleGames about A LOT of things about the game...i wouldn't be surprised if they completely ignored his requests or not...oh and he also has mentioned about this too, that he is almost always ignored by FSG since they consider him just a "regular rhythm gamer" instead of somebody who has "experience" developing rhythm games.), but hearing this kind of made me both lawl and at the same time.
He was never officially involved in anything In The Groove or Stepmania related.
If this is true then HOLY SHIT what a fucking liar XD

Max is so gullible.
He's VERY knowledgeable with ITG as well as having that "ITG is always best" persona, he has his own ITG machine in his house (as well as a PIU machine), I tried checking once and i think i did see his name come up (his name is Mike Calfin for those who don't know) so...yeah.Found it. He is a "Theme Code/Graphics manipulation" person on Stepmania
Granted, he still shouldn't be talking so much crap about other games though...

That simply means that he makes Stepmania themes - He has nothing to do with the official Stepmania project, nor does he own a Pump it Up cabinet. He's just a bully

Song Pack 15 (When Machines Dream) came out a week ago ($.99):
Pegasus - 4 6 9 (BPM - 124)
Rock Robotic - 3 5 7 (BPM - 138)
They are going back to making easy charts and some people are a bit upset Warren... who might be the next person to be banned
Also, news on ReRave's Touch Arcade Cabinet

This touchscreen arcade announcement bore-nnoys me. Nothing like going backwards from DLC on a common tablet/phone to a pay-per-play model at a few US locations.

Good point. Who is going to pay tokens/credits to play songs that they have on their Ipad? Now if they had all of the Ipad songs AND a good chunk of exclusive contest just for the arcade version, then I can see it working.Post #109 · Publicado en 2011-10-03 10:56:22am Hace 12.6 años

If this is the case, why would anyone play the arcade versions of DDR if they have the home version/Stepmania to play as many times as they wish? Same goes for any game that has an arcade counterpart.
Same for Technika. Why would anyone want to go back to the arcade and play if they can (soon) play it on their PS Vita?
EDIT:: I lied, it *does* make literal sense but the theory behind it doesn't.

In all those cases, the arcade versions came before the home versions and had already built up an arcade community so that home versions would satisfy player's want to play the game, but still left them craving the "arcade experience". Not to mention the fact that is was damn expensive to recreate the arcade controller (at least for DDR).
We'll see how this goes.

More news!
This week, there will be a new free song pack containing two "crossover" songs from Pump Pro 1. Kyle stated that although they would like to keep crossover material at a minimum, they will use the new pack to judge interest in the userbase for crossover songs.

When this week? I just recently got the game, and I love the free songlist! While I'll admit Elder God Shrine isn't quite a hit with me, Epilogue is awesome when you learn how to do it. I heard one of the crossovers is Stop & GO!, which is my absolute favorite of the PIU Pro tunes!
One thing that the group really needs work on is adding more licenses to the game though. I get the connections with the current ones (Dan Balan=Crazy Loop, DNC was in Pro 2), but it wouldn't hurt to include more mainstream acts like Skrillex, DeadMau5, and Hadouken! in the mix. Heck, even pop stuff like Lady Gaga could fit, as those charters seem to know what they're doing.

Actually AFFORDING the licences, however...that may be a problem.

I don't think Kyle Ward is as rich as KONAMI. They would probably have to make more profits to do that.

@DDR Addict
I don't know when exactly, or what the songs are; I got it from ReRave's Facebook page. Hyperspace and Stop 2 GO are actually planned to be on ReRave next year, so maybe one of them is Stop & GO.
Edit:
The two crossover songs are here, for the low price of free!
Virtual Emotion / Inspector K (BPM: 90-180) 4-8-10 Genre: Techno
Y2Z / Affinity (BPM: 162) 4-7-9 Genre: Goa Trance

Cabinet looks pretty ugly for the arcade version...

As long as the game is decent though, I don't really care. Reminds me of a Guitar Hero cabinet.

I've completely lost interest in the arcade version, given that it probably won't ever be bought outside the United States.
However, the DLC being completely free sounds nice, though I know this is just because the cabinet sales would generate way more than enough revenue to make up for that.

They are planning to market it outside of the US. Global licensing on music is a great thing.

YES! Now all I have to do is save up a stack of not-US quarters.
