This is a pack of nothing but the best 8 bit music on Earth. and YOU can be a part of it.

RULES
1. must be an NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) song. NO REMIXES
2. Banners and Backgrounds are allowed, but not a must.
3. must have at less 1 step chart. can be from singles and doubles.
4. song limit is 2:30
5. 2 members can join up on one song
6. No Deadline at this time. when there's one, it will be announcedDEC 31st
7. Limit of 8 songs per member. Max number will go up if necessary.

I've asked for a category and should be coming soon. we just need a folder banner and a CD title.

Actually, I had the same idea as Aegis with Ninja Gaiden, but with different stages. The stages I had in mind were 4-2 and 5-3. If he knows how to get songs from NES games, maybe he can get those in addition to the one he was thinking of.

Speaking of which, what are the benefits to using an ogg file? Maybe my hearing just sucks, but I can never tell any difference between them quality-wise, and they just irritate me because my car's CD player won't play them.

Felt like doing a sim for Shadow Man in Megaman III but the bpm's are lame.

Some good ideas for you all would be to think outside the box of just Mario/LoZ/Megman
It'll be kinda dull to see only Mario/LoZ/Megaman.

You should try MixMeister BPM Analyzer. The thing is pretty accurate in most cases. Some cases you may need to tweak it, but not too far. One thing to note is that it might hand you a BPM that is half of what it is.

I think he might be talking about Crash n' The Boys Street Challenge. Just a guess...if so, the intro to that can be made into quite a tough song.
