They could blatantly lie to us again. You know, kind of like how they announced beforehand that there would be no loose ends or unanswered questions, then we got the ending and they said "Lots of speculation for everyone!"

Yeah, "The squeaky wheel gets the grease." People have been tossing the dream/indoctrination theory around since the ending was revealed. At this point, most people would prefer it were a dream.
