What font should I view this in? As it is, it looks a little broken.
I don't know but the font I use is Arial and it's fine.Post #23822 · Posted at 2015-03-30 07:49:37pm 9 years ago

For years I used Univers 57, I've changed to Gill Sans now though.
Edit: Just changed to Exo 2, as it's a Google font you can apply it yourself without owning the font. OOH it's so quasi-futuristic

It says a lot that hamsand coming back wasn't the most 'wut' moment of this weekend in this thread.
When the inevitable nuclear strikes are launched and the Western world is hollowed perfectly smooth, the future generations will look back on this weekend's logs and subsequently fail to cry a single tear.

Banned people coming back stopped fazing me sometime around Dedy Gunawan's 4th alt.

Any tips on how to deal with children/kids who interrupt you while you're playing DDR/ITG, and how to explain the concept of "it's not your turn" to the parents of said youth who not only fail to grasp the concept, but disrespect you because of their overprotectiveness over their children?

i've had kids jump on the pad before while i was playing
one time i stomped on this kids foot and the mom was watching while her kid jumped on the pads
"whyd u do that look where you're going"
excuse me for paying attention to the arrows going across the screen, maybe you should teach your kid how to behave in public?
in reality, just ignore them.

The problem was the father threatened me by repeatedly saying (in an intimidating way), "Don't touch my son," whilst giving me a nasty look, and I was scared thinking I'm about to get murdered or something. Then when I complain to the manager & a game tech, the parents claim that the child is autistic.
I was so emotionally distraught, I decided to permanently, "burn my bridge," with that arcade. I even went as far as burning $20 at the nearest Red Lobster, just to calm myself down. I swear I was on the verge of having a nervous breakdown...in a Dave & Buster's...in NYC.
Now what? I have to suffer for other peoples' bullshit? I'm not allowed to play dancing games in New York, because half the ****ing population is retarded? What AM I supposed to do? Drive four hours to a remote, kidless, ITG location, or some Ex-Bearocalypse player's house just to enjoy dancing games?
DDR X sucks. And so do the five boroughs of NYC

bro people put up with a ton of bullshit playing arcade games, just ignore it. it's nothing uncommon.
unrelated, but this unfortunately is why i'm excited yet nervous about the rapid expansion of round 1 arcades, because i know for a fact that some stupid ass kid is going to rip off the knobs while playing sound voltex thus breaking the encoder, or just around like an idiot and break the pads on DDR (if round 1 locations ever get DDR)

Round 1 Arcade? I've never heard of that before. Is that some sort of corporate arcade chain like D & B, or Chuck E Cheese's?

round 1 is a japanese arcade chain that is slowly (not really slowly anymore) expanding across america that has ties with konami, thus allowing them to have access to official e-amuse network.
they have the newest bemani games and some new non-bemani games (groove coaster is a new one)

Stomp and push away. If anyone complains, tell them to take better care of their kids. Yes, an assholish move, but these kids and their parents deserve the wake up call.I'm not kidding either. If these people - and that's what they are: people - are gonna disrespect you, well... An eye for an eye, I say.

Outside of that we have no idea what other malls across the US are going to be getting one, from what I hear it can only be malls/shopping centers that are currently in the process of being built/a new mall will be built on said property.
With the quick expansions though, I really see Round 1 locations popping up in major metropolitan cities across the US, so eventually places like New York, Miami, Atlanta, St. Louis and more are good potential locations, or otherwise smaller but densely populated cities.

Fingers'n'toes crossed for a CNY location to spring up. There's room in Destiny USA - go, go, go!
